eBay at it's best.

Sign up now for $300 Anchor store and you will get

Shipping Shipping supply coupon (Any one saw those shipping supplies)

Dedicated Customer service. (Available July 1)

I am supposed to make a decision now but only find out what exactly they include later.

Could not they wait till those "Shipping supplies" available and "Dedicated customer service" available and then introduce Rate Hike?

Or someone at eBay really needs a new beach house and those employees messed up and did not make those items available in time for beach house settlement?

What the hurry? Why introduce hike now when benefets are not available yet?

Re: eBay at it's best.

Those shipping supplies eBay gives out $75 worth of coupon better not be free priority boxes from USPS.

I recall we already had eBay's shipping discount, when everyone one who printed label online was getting reduced prices and only eBay called them eBay's discounted prices.

Re: eBay at it's best.

eBay is worred about all the Amazon branded boxes.

http://recode.net/2016/04/05/ebay-selling-branded-delivery-boxes/

The article implies that the boxes with not be USPS Priority/eBay boxes but pay for boxes with "eBay" all over 'em.

We, as sellers, need our own branding. Branding that eBay continuously minimizes (save for the big brands like Target). The last thing I want is an eBay branded box. I have my own boxes that are branded with my logo. As is my shipping labels and packing slips.

Re: eBay at it's best.

I have to say that the positive about eBay is they have lower selling fees versus Amazon. Ebay's listing organazition and ease of use for both buyers and sellers is superior to Amazon.
Amazon is a mess to navigate to find the best price for the selection in quick organized manner.
I can find an item 3 times faster on eBay and find the best price.
Amazons clustered unorganized low detailed listings drive me back to eBay almost everytime I go to Amazon for something.

That being said, the main thing eBay has going for them is their low seller fees, superior layout & auction style listings.
If eBays fees become on par with Amazon, eBay will hand over thier sellers to Amazon.
Why? Amazon has massive online traffic, they are doing pretty well considering their listing disorganazation (at least in my opinion) people fo there to shop and shop well, so for the money Amazon gives your sales more traffic once fees are equal that is.
It would be unwise of ebay to continue to rake up fees without something such as Prime like Amazon has.

Fee increases without backers like Prime and low web shopping traffic will sink eBay. I would start on alibaba entering USA vs eBay soonly but I digress.

The eBay boxes have been available for a while. I guess there will be a big promotion AFTER the Stores get their coupons.

Re: eBay at it's best.

Just get your own account from UPS...if you ship enough, its a LOT cheaper than EBays discount...

Re: eBay at it's best.

This must have been written by an EBay employee...EBays fees are just ridiculous....it all went down hill when they decided to take a piece of the shipping too....I abandoned a $60,000 a year EBay business to Reverb.....the fees are 1/2...I saved $2,100 in fees !
