A few days ago, eBay started listing the sales tax on the invoice, even
though they collect it. It makes it appear as revenue to us (when it
isn't), so I have to modify the amount when I enter it into my general
ledger. Worse, I suspect they'll count...

The problem is your screen indicates you have a message, and you have to
take time go to that message, only to find out it's spam. It's like junk
mail -- one often has to open the envelope before knowing to throw it in
the trash.
Good point, but I wouldn't dream of exposing my computer to the
potential hazards of a Google Chrome invasion, just to satisfy eBay or
keep me from having to clear the temporary files. (I've worked with
computers since 1974.)
