Cindy, The bottom signature looks Prussian to me - if it is crazed in
the glaze - it might be a early 1900's piece - but not familar with the
old prussian patterns.
I would opt for the curtain holder - the screw place at the top which is
covered after the curtain rod (probably wooden rod) is placed in it and
the lock on the bottom that opens up to take the rod out and clean the
cutrains.
Maybe the difference is that the "popular stuff" people bid - are
limited - they are only shown a few of the many items listed - so that
those "few items" are in demand and later a few more are tossed out
there. AM I am especially perturbed when AFTE...
