Since eBay figures its fee based on sales price + shipping, is there a
way to make lower-priced items more profitable? There have been several
instances in which eBay's fee left me a profit of less than 25 cents

I'm confused. I weighed the item in the package. I offered a lower cost
but slower shipping option but the buyer chose priority mail. Shipping
was $9.12 as the buyer lived on the opposite coast as me.

$7.28 - $10.85 for 1 lb 15 oz USPS Parcel Select Ground so I chose USPS
Parcel Select Ground as the first shipping method offered.
As soon as I send my two toddler grandchildren home, I will go through
all my listings and see if I can get my shipping cost down. I know some
were close on weight and I'm not above cutting a box either
