The original intent of eBay was for people to clean out their closets

I think it's even worse that that. I consider it outright fraud. The
term is OBO (or best offer). As in, the price is $100 or best offer. If
no bids are made and you reject ANY offer then it clearly is not OR best
offer. So, it's a Lie and that selle...
