HELP! How can you turn off "Frequently searched by you" and "Recommended for you"?

HELP! I want to completely disable these features, how can I do that? I helped a friend find a car. Now I can't stop getting this in my face with "Frequently searched by you" and "Recommended for you" I'm so hating this. I don't have any saved search...
