In vain I change all personal info and bank account in Ebay to my partner's (and she would be in charge of this account if thing is accepted). I uploaded her Finnish ID, Ebay declined. And Ebay also declined her passport.


Sorry to hear it's taken so long @apham201085, due to privacy reasons we can't discuss anything account specific issues here. The best option is to keep working with the  payments team to see what needs to specifically be done to get everything in order again. Thanks so much for your time!

The Seller Hub Promotion Order Discount is NOT working, and since the Oct. 12 category updates eBay is NOT giving discounts on my orders with 3+ fixed price items which should get 20% off.  A call to Customer Support yesterday revealed this is a USA and UK problem that has been around since April (open ticket number INC000004210645) and a 2nd open ticket in August (number INC000004747514).   Since I consider this similar to bait and switch, which is illegal, I ended my Order Discount promotion.  How will I know when this billing error, which eBay has never announced, has been fixed so I can again use this promotion again?

Hi, actually no, there is nothing new there being reported recently. This despite a specific request as recently as yesterday for you (not you personally, but the collective Community Team) to drag a detailed update out of Khoros using any and all means necessary. 😉

 

Seriously, this has been going on for weeks with no meaningful feedback. No one is even willing to identify whether it's eBay or Khoros that's the cause of the broken link that's failing to provide the missing data for posts on the Community. What more needs to be done in order to get a status on the current problems?

I apologize for the length, but there are several issues all tied into one general issue here:

 

On a different account we have had several items either be declined to be listed or removed for “violations” in the past couple of days.

 

One was a dust cover for a pistol magazine. The magazine is not over 10 rounds – the stated limit on every piece of documentation on eBay for the limit for magazines. The item is even listed in eBay’s catalog with the round number listed in specifics. In addition there are many of them listed on eBay currently. The rep we spoke with at that point did not understand that it is NOT a magazine and even if it were it fit within eBay’s 10 round limit.

 

The second, and more problematic one was an account violation take down for a bullet mold. A different round of reps insist that eBay is no longer going to allow bullet molds to be listed. They indicated that it had to do with the California regulations. Which I have read and there is nothing to forbid bullet molds to be sold/shipped to California.

 

Here’s the problem – there are as of this morning approximately 1800 of them still listed with 75 sold between yesterday and today.

 

There is another user asking why these are being removed on the selling forums – he apparently has the same problem – randomly removed listings.

 

In addition, in Sporting Goods, Molds are still an available category to list in as of this morning as well.

Can you explain how this is happening to only some users and why there was no announcement?

 

I’d like eBay to point to the actual account violation that occurred and if they can’t – it should be immediately removed. I'm happy to share the user name via messages if you'd like to see the specific account.

 

There has been no announcement that these items are going to be phased out, no announcement that they will no longer be allowed to be listed on eBay. We’ve supposedly received an account violation defect, which is incredibly damaging, since it takes very few of these to get your account permanently banned.

 

I get that eBay does not always enforce their policies uniformly, but these types of antics make your sellers lose faith in eBay.

Hi @mightymouse - I see what you mean! From what I have been told the clickable-category picture deep dives are still in process.

 

When I follow your steps I see that there is a section below that lets me select by Brand, and that appears to be filtering the way you'd expect the larger pictures to do. (screenshot below). Any chance you can have a look and let me know if that's working the way you'd expect it to? I know that's not ideal, I'm just trying to understand if there's a workaround, and you're definitely the expert when it comes to Trains!

I think this is a fair question.  One in which I asked when it LITERALLY took a YEAR to restore email notification for threads being followed, if the member has chosen that option.

On the Weekly chat they can't answer questions or concerns related to Managed Payments.  You have to speak to someone on the Payments team.  Sorry to tell you, but you will need to call customer service and ask for a MP specialist.  I know this is extremely frustrating and preventing you from functioning as a productive seller.

Lost another sale because no combine shipping on the app.

Also when is ebay going to do something about the duplicate listings, tired of reporting them and nothing getting done. Putting item #1, item #2 behind each listing is "against" the rules. 

Also I'm not even sure how they can list 10 items(all different size and colors) with the same heading and its not getting flag for being already listed.

RE: Listing’s description box editing

 

Yesterday, I listed using a sell similar (as I always have done) but the text in the description box will not take. It keeps the original text. This happens only in the description box, item specifics, photos, title, etc all revise.

 

So, I ended the listing and started a new one, same thing, would not accept the revised text in the description box. Had to end it in order to put revisions in the description box. 

 

So in total, I had to list the item 3x to get it where I wanted it to be.

Unfortunately with payments, for security reasons, only that team can discuss any of that info with you. If it was anything else I always like to recommend eBay For Business, but with payments you have to work with them.
