Reading the Authenticity Guarantee for luxury watches, I noticed that lack of explanation regarding stolen watches. I must assume that the Authenticity Guarantee does not protects the buyer from receiving a stolen watch? Is this correct?

How would they know if it was stolen or not?

Well, for designer-brand watches, if you take one in for repair, they check the serial number against a database of watches that have been reported stolen. So there is a database that exists, and one would expect that if you buy one of those watches it should be compared against the existing database. Why not?
