Seeking some insight or others with similar issues. Been a collector of pokemon TCG for years and recently have been subject to cancelled orders on here. Not just a cancelled order but they pay THEN ask for a refund. And it's always obscure reasons....I was in class and didn't get the notification or my kid did this. However, this person also upbid 4-5 times in order to win. Any suggestions on dealing with these situations in the future. I know the cancel is a "request" and can be denied but will likely result in poor feedback for my store. Thanks

Approving the cancellation is really the only smart thing to do, for obvious reasons.
The reason it is happening more is because more and more buyer are being automatically enrolled in 'list a payment before bidding', meaning they have to put up a credit card (for example) and if they win, they are automatically charged. The buyer is then deciding "I don't want to do that" or " I don't thing I want this thing anymore" etc.
Some sellers are auto enrolled in 'make buyers pay when bidding'.... so check your 'preferences' and you may be auto enrolled forcing buyers to 'pre list a payment type'.
