There is always someone who cares.   I know this is TCM's thread & hope she doesn't mind if I start #3.   We can't go without a 'who the heck cares'.

Heron, been watching the news about the fires.  Always concern for those we know that are with us on the boards.  Would TCM be anywhere near these fires?  Let me clarify though, it is a concern for everyone in the path of this.  Sad to watch those who are on their roofs with garden hoses in hopes to save their home.  Relieved to know these folks will be getting the help (from the govt) they so need like anyone who's lives are affected by disaster regardless of where they live or who they are!

We've had snow 3 times that I can remember in my 66 years.

It's pretty, but the novelty wears off quick.

Well, Husband and Son are off for the rest of the week.

Rain is supposed to come in tonight and be cold. It might freeze.

Glad they won't have to be on the road.

Got to go check on the camellias I put in Mama's house and get the mail and fix a plastic tote for the cat outside to sleep in. Gonna be nice.

Happy Birthday Wishes for our Birthday Girl - I hope those blokes spoilt you rotten.

About the fires - I know Missus is in the firing line - here's hoping all is well with her.

Fruit - I've emptied another two bottles to fill. LOL

Another month - I'll have enough to come visit. 🤣

Hola Shirley...! Re fires; right now the fires are primarily in Los Angeles County.  TCM probably would not be affected by the current fires, although with strong winds the embers can be thrown anywhere the wind goes.  Same comment for our stretch of coastal property.  And yes, it is sad to see the thousands of people directly affected by the fires and losing their houses and possessions.  And Heron agrees that the State and Federal governments should send $$$ aid to the folks that lost all.

These current fires are the worst ever experienced.  Really bad.

I'm praying for everyone in the path of the fires. I'm praying for the first responders (firefighters/emts) who are fighting this fire. 

Currently it is 28° and SNOWING here in west central Illinois. My new job called a snow day, so I was tempted to text current boss and tell him I wasn't coming in! But I did not. This time next year I'll be cozy/comfy in sweats on my couch! LMAO Probably crocheting!

Happy Belated Birthday, Cathy! I missed it was your birthday, somehow!

Fingers crossed my 'official' start date is Feb 3, but I'll only be at the school a couple days per week since my replacement won't start in my office until Mar 3.

We are north of the fires. Several have started close by, but have been extinguished quickly. 
  Wednesday evening I got a call from a friend, who is on vacation. His dogs were boarded, and needed to be evacuated. I drove to get them at 10pm, and they are safe at my home, until my friends get home. 

My entire city has had no power for three days. Schools, and businesses are closed. 

We don’t have Internet service at my house. 
I’m not complaining. So many people have lost everything.

TCM ~ Hope you stay out of harm's way and good to know you are alright.  Glad you were able to rescue your friend's dogs and have them with you!

CATHY ~  I don't know how I missed your birthday either, but wishing you a belated happy birthday with many more to come! 

Snowed pretty much the whole day today.  Nice snow...no wind.  Good snowball making snow!  Maybe got 4"?  by the looks of it.   Very pretty.  Mazzy loved watching it come down.  Sometimes big clusters and sometimes fine.  Sure brightens things up out there.

It is pretty, but get's old fast with me.

Have to be very careful going outside.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. It was a good day and I was spoiled some.

Tcm, I'm relieved you're north of the fires.

Boarding the pet of your friend is in line with the sort of thing you do.

Good that you could help.

Fredi, it's gonna be nice. Weekends off. Holidays, long Summer vacation and Spring break.

Plenty of opportunity to crochet.

Dom, I told Husband what you said. I told him that he and Son were the blokes you were referring to.

He said he knew that.lol

Sometimes he gets tickled at the things you say.

Heron, glad you aren't in that area, but keeping an eye on the situation.

PS: The kitten loves the tote we fixed up for him.

He gets out to eat and use the bathroom and hops back in his tote through the hole we put in it.

Loves the blanket I folded up and made like a big cushion.

All stretched out this morning taking a nap.

Mazzy has had quite a morning.  First, she shot by me to get into the doll room.  Stimuli overload to the point it all freaked her out and she shot straight back out the door!!😂. Then she got distracted from bird watching and decided to pull at a plant in a vase...that came crashing down and scared her half to death again.  Tail as big as a raccoon's 😂.  She had to go lie down right after that and then went to Rootie's bed to sleep it off.  

Here she is being the perfect angel in one of Myah's favorite spots.  She does leave the cactus alone.....

Cathy - just love tickling your OH - I would love to see him smile.

And I still have Son's Air guitar stand packed away - memories of the [].

Fredi - you are being very - in fact more than fair - working till someone can take over - can't wait till you begin full time at School.

Sunday evening here - Monday - have to do paragraph 7 - almost done on the Council - now it's just - fine tuning.

I wish mine looked that good.......between the static from the dry air & really needing a haircut, my hair has gone from "Lyle Lovett" to looking like Einstein & Tesla had a baby.

Trying to purge some of the paper that has accumulated.

3/4 of a large trash bag.....haven't made a noticeable dent.

Ever noticed when you shread paper it grows to 3 times the amount. LOL
