Please introduce yourself

Welcome dear Chess Collector, Each new member should introduce himself here. In your post, describe a little of your background and how you found your way to chess collecting. Feel free to read everyone's posts and reply to a couple if you find them interesting. Re: Please introduce yourself

Hi Guy's Just to put the picture right. I did not join the forum to steal away work from people like mr. Dewey. That is not my thing. I like to learn alot from this forum and try to put in now and again things you may like useful. If I can help someone I will but I donot want any trouble with alan, he has the older rights. Greetings Jan

Re: Please introduce yourself

Hi, Jan, Yes please do, Really really please. I'm coming up to retirement age and there are a lot of damaged sets out there, far too many for me to restore, even if I had another lifetime to do it in. So many sets, so little time... ;-) P.S. you may call me Alan, Mr. Dewey seems a little formal. -- Edited by chessspy at 03/16/2009 1:25 AM PDT

Re: Please introduce yourself

Hello again guys Let me start by stating that I am eating humble pie, and lots of it. You where right Alan the barley set was of course in bone. I took the word by my client and didn't look close until today. Silly me, will not happan again! Now I have to tell my client. I hope that he isn't to disappointed wen he here's from me that his priced set is not ivory but bone. My picasa webalbum is now "open" I just have to find out how to link it. Jan

Alan, Far to much honour! From what I have seen and read from you and on a scale from 1 - 10 You are a 10 and I consider myself as a 2, striving to get higher up. Thanks for the correct link some times I still fight with my computer and lose!!! Greetings, Jan
