Hi all,
I had a customer purchase a item. I inspected and packed order myself. Upon receiving the item, customer claimed item had a stain under the sticker tag. LOL This item was brand new and sticker was never removed. So I asked customer to send item back and I will issue them a refund. Customer refused and asked for discount. I feel like they are trying to scam me. What would you do?

LOL, yep they are scamming you.. Tell them its your policy; you do not discount items, all items MUST be returned and you will issue a full refund after you Get it back. Stick to it. Immediately .And I mean now, block this buyer from purchasing from you again, here is the other thing they will probably hit you hard with DSR feedback anyway so just tell them nicely you need it back and are very sorry they are unhappy even offer return shipping on you because its better to Get it back and once refunded they can't post feedback against you, Speaking from experience here... . Get ready its the season of eBay scam buyers for Christmas.

On the other hand, stickers can stain cloth and possibly other materials. I have an entrance sticker on my favourite suedette coat that has been there for two years.
If the buyer does send it back, and there is a stain, use this as a learning experience and remove any stickers that do not otherwise affect the value of the item.
And in that case, yes, you do owe the unhappy buyer her return postage.
But generally, no refund without return.

Thank you for your response. I feel this one is trying to take me for a ride and I am not willing to go!!! lol lol lol I knew something was odd when I offered refund and they completely skipped that proposal and starting talking about a discount. This is just wrong. lol lol

Hi,
Buyer was not talking about a stain from the sticker. I don't know what kind of stickers are on the clothes that you purchase. Almost all store you go to has sticky tags on their items. I never heard of them damaging the items. Its not super glue nor have I seen any that were difficult to remove. lol This buyer was trying to recoup some of the money by asking for a discount. I would have been more than happy to accept a return but clearly this was not the buyers intentions.
Thank you for response.

Thank you for your response. I am sure they are scamming me. I can't beleive one would use such a weak excuss to get a discount. I email buyer and they won't respond. I added them to block buyer list. Oh well, that saved me to time & money.

Thank you for responding. I have reported buyer. I have left 6 emails to return item for refund. They have not responded to my emails.
