Two questions regarding active auctions

Can I edit the shipping details of an active auction that has registered a number of bids.  I checked the box to allow local pickup but forgot to add information regarding my willingness to ship nationally. Question number two:  Can I end an active auction that has days to run and accept an offer from a bidder at a set price.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can change the shipping details after you have bids.

You can end the auction that still has days to go and sell to someone at a set price as long as you relist it as a buy it now listing for that price.  It is seldom in a seller's best interest to do that.  You generally end up selling it for more by letting the auction run its course.

Thank you for your help.  To be clear about accepting a set price, I can relist the item with a 'buy it now' price even though the bidding has begun with more than one bidder.

Yes, but you will need to cancel the bids and the buyers that have bid may not be happy about that.

However, the bidders cannot do anything about it.

Given that a lot of TWO speakerphones are now at $189, I hope you do let your auction (currently at $201 for SIX) ride. Most bids come in the last few minutes of the listing and you cannot see the electronic snipes that other member have set up to bid in the last few seconds.

You can end your auction and will have the choice to either cancel bids or sell to highest bidder to end it, even if you set a buy it now price with an auction once a bid is placed that buy it now disappears and its auction just as if you never placed BIN there. You can always use a reserve set price in case the auction does not reach where it's supposed to for you, you do not have to sell it unless you want to and wont be charged the final value fee's on an unmet reserve price because you paid that up front.

This is probably too late to help you with this sale but something else to keep in mind is that E-bay will charge you fees on a listing if you end it early and it has bidders, you pay final value fee based on the last highest bid.   I think they allow one a year now.
