I was working on my sales for the day last night and in the middle of getting everything shipped I had to sign back into my ebay account, but it would not let me. It was kind of strange when I put in my password the enter button on my keyboard and would not work so I clicked on the Sign in button and it did nothing but change to a darker color. Anyone else having this trouble?

Try another browser, particularly if you are using IE11.
If you are unable to use another browser, when the sign-in page becomes non-responsive, try deleting everything in the URL after the .dll so that the address looks like this:
https://signin.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
then hit "enter" and sign in to the old sign-in page. If you are sent to another page asking for your password, click on the ebay.ca logo to go to the main page, and you should find yourself signed in (unless things have changed).
You will likely have to learn workarounds like this to keep using IE11, as more and more sites stop working. Or try another browser.

Hi I'm not in Australia that was a different poster-I am in the US. And the work around you posted previously is still working for me with IE11 and Chrome (tho very slow to load with Chrome now too.)
With all of the site issues lately I think there is more to it than just IE as a friend who uses FireFox is having the same issues.
Maybe someone from the Community Staff will post tomorrow with some answers. Meanwhile I can go anywhere else I want on the internet besides eBay so guess that is what I will do, for now anyways.

Worked just fine although it did not take me to the page I wanted so a few (unnecessary) steps to get where I want to go. Yes, I have Firefox which eliminates the problem but I am so used to the layout for IE11 that it makes navigating easier. (The eBay page is pretty much the same but the internet buttons above the page are quite different) Another learning/retraining task awaits.
Nonetheless thanks for the workaround.

I am wondering if trinton@ebay can see that this issue gets sent to the correct eBay department. This is a major issue that needs attention. A user now cannot use a supported browser to log in to the eBay system!

I got some help with properly tagging and these were the names I was given.
Could one of you look into this issue please? I just got off the phone with an eBay Rep who was able to log in using IE11 no problem she said.
Would like to know if this is a glitch or not? Thank you!
Hi @windhaze, I'm not having trouble on my end logging in via IE 11, so recommend you ensure your browser is updated to the newest version. You can also consider using another browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Edge. Be sure to perform some troubleshooting steps such as clearing your cache & cookies and ensuring no security software you have installed is interfering with the login process.

My PC is all up to date and as you can see I'm not the only one having the issue with the new log in pages. I saved the link that was posted to the old sign in page and yes I can get in but not with either of the 2 new pages.
I did call Microsoft who checked out my PC and said the issue is on eBay's end so idk? Oh well I can use the work around until I get my new laptop set up and will then be using Edge as it's a WIN10 (am on WIN7 now.)
Thanks.

Trinton, if you get a chance to pass along the following info regarding IE11 to the relevant folks it would be appreciated.
There are many new reports of various problems with IE11 lately including:
Problems signing in to eBay Australia using this page:
https://signin.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn
or any other site using the newest sign-in page that features the username entry field over the Facebook and Google buttons, or password entry on a separate page. Those pages simply hang when using IE11.
Numerous problems with the Watch List page, including: deleting items, using drop-down menus to reach other lists, using drop-downs to change the sort or status, changing pages beyond page one using the page numbers at the bottom.
Folks asking about these issues on the community discussion boards can be encouraged to use different browsers or other workarounds, but there are likely many more users that will never see these community board posts, those folks will just wonder why they can no longer sign in to eBay or check their lists.

Found the answer to this problem on website https://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f56/internet-explorer-11-and-login-problem-1028417.html . Somehow the Security settings had been changed which affected the login for the eBay website.
I went to Tools > Internet Options > Security tab, then had to click on Default Level to return IE to default security levels. Then, on this same Security tab I had to click on the Trusted websites icon and add the https:// URL for eBay.
Voila! Access to eBay website was granted and my login worked. website. Somehow the Security settings had been changed which affected the login for the eBay website.
I had to click on the Trusted websites icon and add various url for the pages I usually visit, the https:// URL for eBay.

I Opened ebay in firefox, then I copied and pasted the following to the trusted sites list. I added

if the log in screen looks like this. This is the new one and is the one that myself and it seems like many others are having issues with. When you test this, make sure you get this log in screen. The old one works just fine.
