hey, hows it going?
good.
whatcha doing?
im working on this jet ski but i think the computer might be bad?
but, if i get a new one and it doesn't work, electrical items are not returnable. So its an expensive gamble.
hey i got an idea?
whats that?
just purchase one on ebay, when you get it, install it and see if it works. if it does, then great, if not, even if your ski fries the new ecm, you can return it for a full refund..............and it gets even better, you don't even have to pay for return shipping.............AND..........the seller is obligated to leave you a positive feedback.......AND..........you have 30 days to make the desicion......isn't that awesome!!!
wow! thats a win win, ebay here i come!!!

Sellers are not 'obligated' to leave feedback. Feedback is voluntary and is not part of the transaction.

Indeed, if your selling anything sealed from manufacturer the buyer can just say the box was empty, or swap bad pieces into the return. I've recently started trying to sell and encounter sniping, flippers, con artists, bullying, multiple harassing messages with scary demands, changing what they say, playing games, low balling, you name it, I'm seeing it.
My account is on close request once it all wraps up, and this last buyer gets what they want, and I'm a 15 year ebay customer. Great place to get cheap Chinese stuff with free shipping though.
Their are good buyers, but many know they can cheat the sellers on certain items and get away with it, nothing you can do, many sellers say it's part of doing business through this medium. Many are very patient and just keep relisting over and over, and over because now listings are free.

Well said, eBay does very little to police this time of situation and appears unwilling to make changes. Their risk analysis metrics program applies only to sellers, not buyers.
