I had an item sold went in to print USPS Parcel Select shipping and that option is no longer there! Where did it go? Is ebay no longer letting sellers use that option?

You guessed correctly. eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc. You can purchase Parcel Select Ground postage through PayPal at
www.PayPal.com/shipnow
But do compare prices before you do that. For Zones 1 - 4, the USPS online price for Priority Mail is literally 10 cents more than Parcel Select Ground, and for Zones 5 - 8 the difference is less than a dollar. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay, which makes it cheaper than Parcel Select.
IMHO Parcel Select ground should only be offered when necessary such as for hazmat or Oversize packages (i.e., length-plus-girth above the Priority limit of 108 inches).

What do we do when we need to ship something by USPS that can't ship by air, then? Do we need to go to the Post Office and buy the label at the counter (we get no discount online anyway) and then manually enter the tracking number?
This is extremely disappointing, and Ebay should reverse this.

Parcel Select was pointless... It cost literally the same cost as Priority Mail so they booted it. It was about time, it was a worthless option.

I provided the link to purchase Parcel Select Ground through PayPal; the price is the same as eBay's.
The PO counter would not be able to sell you Parcel Select Ground, because it's an online service. The retail equivalent is called Retail Ground and it does cost more than Parcel Select. Both services used to be known as Parcel Post.

True there wasn't much difference in cost but it's the box sizes that was important for me. I sell a variety of items so have tons of all sized boxes. USPS has a small choice for boxes and I'm spending more in packing to fill in the voids because their boxes are either too big or too small. Also, I need to find a USPS box Before I ever sell an item so I can offer the right type of shipping. Before, I always had the right box so only needed to estimate the weight....I didn't have to box everything first. For me....I could always find the right box for the item size and weight, sometimes I needed a small box that was heavy weight and USPS doesn't have that. I'm paying more for a larger box to fit an item even though the weight is less. As I'm finding....I'm spending more and making less......I WANT PARCEL SELECT BACK.

You don't have to use a USPS box. If you have a ton of boxes that fit the items you sell then use them. USPS doesn't require you to use a Priority Mail box when you ship it Priority Mail.

As noted in the other post, you can use Priority Mail shipping for any of the same boxes you would use for Parcel Select. The USPS even offers stickers that you can put on those boxes to ensure that they aren't accidentally handled as slower, ground shipping.
