When you post a message here, you're not addressing eBay or its employees. These Boards are made up of many eBay buyers and sellers who volunteer their time here to help others when they can.
So, as you can see, we have no need to "be ashamed for being so greedy about something so little". In other words, not our circus.

Unless you see a message here from someone who identifies themselves as an eBay employee, NO ONE HERE IS A SICK PUPPY WORKING FOR EBAY.

I don’t think that that message was directed specifically at you. Did you think that was the case? I see it pretty often when someone is venting – you’ll get a couple of folks that take some great outrage at being called out for something. No one was calling you out for anything. Rest easy.

Plenty of people that work for eBay our sellers. Plenty of sellers on eBay. Come to these boards. Stands to reason that there are some eBay employees who are sellers that come to these boards. Please be nice to those that are posting.

Why do you continue doing this to sol.maryl?

Hi everyone,
This discussion has gotten a bit off topic. Please bring the discussion back to the subject established in the original post.
Thank you.

I have had to ask a few people to be nice - just today. If you think I’m singling ou someone, it isn’t true. Regardless, Asking for others to be nice isn’t a bad thing.

FYI, ebay employees are required to identify themselves as employees. Those who post here on the boards have a blue border around their posts.
And if they are buying or selling, they identify themselves.

I’m sure that there are plenty of eBay sellers who aren’t posting that might be reading messages. That makes perfect sense.

Why not say the same thing to the OP then? If any post was to be called out for not being nice, I would think their follow-ups would qualify.

The OP gave a harmless rant about eBay. I think some grace for new posters and/or people looking for help is in order. And, pattern of behavior should be an important consideration.
We all know what is going to happen when anyone uses a "you" in a rant. You'll get a few people feigning being insulted that they have been accused of something. Who the heck thinks that the OP's rant was targeted at any one particular community member? Or even to any community member?
Seems to me that an OP making that small mistake is just a welcome trigger for some. It seems like a way to make an OP feel small, much like those that like to pick on the math skills of others, point out grammatical errors, etc.. All very mean. Low-key mean, but just as negative.

I saw none of that, but I do see you and I mean you repeatedly chastising a fellow regular poster over nothing. I consider that mean and very tiresome.

You can look at my history. What - is it one reply over the past week? So, is that 1-2% of her posts that would see a reply from me? Absolutely understood, there is a narrative that some want to put out there, but the data doesn't support it.

The last sentence you posted to another poster, is good advice, too bad it is not adhered to.
