Set up a return for an item that was not as described seller sent me a return label that has their address, as said in thread title that is both origin and destination so... what do I do? how was this even possible?

Should not be a problem as far as I can see. It's kind of like a self addressed return envelop. Assuming it's the correct address, all it means that the package will never come back to you, is all. I'd just take a picture of the label and save it just in case, and get a receipt for it at the PO.

Sounds like a smart long time seller

Agree with the others. The seller is making sure the item will come back to them.
The tracking number is assigned to your return so should not be an issue for you.

What do you do?
Return the item for a refund!
How is this possible?
Seller entered their name in both places. As others have noted, should the shipper mess up and try to return the item to the sender, rather than the addressee, the seller will get the item back. Pretty smart move on the Seller's part and sometimes there are "ooopsies" that happen.
There is no Violation of any policy of law here. No need to see any thing nefarious here.

My doctor sends my bills and includes a pre-paid envelope with his addresses in both fields. It's cool with me.

Once it is scanned by USPS it isn't your problem what happens to the package.
