seller is being unhelptful for tracking of item

bought on May 24, 2023. never takes this long and says customs cleared june 4, which means it should have been delivered or a message to pickup at the po.

 

contacted seller and gave a -alls good, on its way-

let it sit for a few more days. nothing. so took the tracking info for

Aramex  Royal Mail Global  and showed it at the post office and said those arent numbers shown in their system.
 
contacted the seller yesterday and got a dismissive message
"Everything looks ok. Kind regards"
 
I asked him to check for tracking information I can check at the post office and thats what I got from him.
 
I think its time to open a dispute and get my money back.

One day past the last given delivery date you can open a case. I would allow an extra week for shipping delays.  You only have 30 days from the delivery date to file so don't let it get too close before you file.

You saw an estimated delivery date in the listing before you made your purchase.

If that date was at least 24 hours ago, yes, it is "time to open a dispute and get my money back".

A dispute is likely in order, but your seller has a limited ability to know what is happening.  Agreed that the CS from seller should be better - but you’ll get better success via your own inquiries.  

sellers that don’t want to bother with the annoyances of intl sales should go with EIS/GSP.

Ill let him reply till tomorrow. I sent him 3 messages, and didnt acknowledge any. shame for him. he sells parts from a bike that few have. I wanted to buy a few more parts. screw him.

If he sold the item under the new Ebay International program, ebay will be one the refunding you.  It's a new program and there are delays.   When you look at MY PURCHASES in Ebay, you should see a tracking # to Glendale Illinois.  That is the ebay international center. There , the package gets a new tracking #.    LOOK in mY ebay and see if you can find that new tracking #.    What is the date?  If you see that it's travelling towards your home, give it a few more days.   If not, open the item not received case.

thanks for the help and I think there is one error many people do. its that internet and ordering is intl.  you said illinois. but I didnt mention usa. I notice many people have this mistake in thinking its automatically the usa.  there are people from around the world also using services of ebay. I purchased my part from uk.

Thanks for the clarification, but, actually, at this time, none of this matters.

Your item, per the last estimated delivery date that you posted here, was supposed to arrive by June 12th.  It's overdue by 11 days.  You have 30 days past that date to open an item not received case with eBay.  Do it.

And also you need to read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

Actually, many posters make the mistake of not giving us complete information. You are on the US Board so of course we assume US. You should have  given us accurate and complete information instead of chiding us for making (obvious) assumptions.

 

If you purchased it from the UK then you should have gone to the UK board to air your complaint.

you know the line they say about assuming.


no, Im overseas so of course ill goto ebay.com since it shows me people from all over the world. why would I goto ebay. uk or ebay.de? I buy from ebay.com. but thanks for the suggestion.

 

if you dont know, dont guess, ask. and since you gave info on an assumption, well thats on. you didnt ask and assumed. and since youre a senior here, you should ask before assuming. with the amount of feedback you have, you know the system well. its ok, you made a mistake, its fine.

well the item was supposed to be delivered today. it wound up in a town in the south somehow. till it will arrive will be a few days. ill check the part out, and contact the seller to reimburse him minus a reduction for the delay in shipping.

so updating this

 

item was delivered yesterday. a month after its latest date of june 12. the seller put the wrong city on the label even though the order details say the real city. mispelled. its an aramex sticker. I also got trash service through aramex and the associate delivery company in my country orian shenker.

you can never catch a person by phone.  finally caught someone through email  , they replied and sent it to me a week later.
but dam, a full month of nonstop work to get it to me.
I told the seller if he gives me his paypal ill give him payment back, minus a bit for the headache.
