Hi...I sold a taxidermied fish the buyer wants to return and I dont accept returns and its posted.I posted many pictures and it was in perfect condition. he says item was damaged in the shipping.its not in my hands how the post office or receiver{ buyer}handles items.I packed very well the item.he posted pictures of a fallen fin and damage to tail.its an easy fix,and he says the measures I gave are wrong and they are not...I was a shop teacher, what can I do about this? thank you.

It's your job to get it to the buyer in the condition listed. Ask the buyer to return it for a refund.
No refunds mean nothing when the buyer says it arrived damaged or otherwise not as described.

All that means is you don't want the item back. You still have to refund.

No Returns and no refunds are two different things. Accept the Return and issue the buyer a return shipping label before eBay has to step in. If they do, you won't get your fish back.
I find that if something sells once, it will again. When the item is returned, make the easy fix and relist it. Good luck.

What does being a shop teacher have to do w anything?
ebay buyer protection trumps your return policy in cases of item not as described such as damage
You may not be at fault but you are responsible as you are the packer, shipper and you are the carriers customer since you paid them

Actually it is in your hands.
You need to take the return or eBay will force it

What is a larger shame is that you chose to sell on this platform evidently without reading, or at least understanding, the policies beforehand. Your own no returns policy is trumped by the MBG on eBay. As a seller you are most certainly responsible for the shipping of your item. I grew up dealing with taxidermy animals and they are easily broken, especially the tails on mounted fish. You must be referring to the fish you sold on the 19th for over $200. Why would you expect the buyer to have to eat a broken fish?
This is your issue because you chose to sell it online to a perfect stranger from another state. You have several very nice collectibles listed for quite a large amount. I hope you now realize any of those can be returned and you will either refund without your item back or you will refund and let buyer keep them. Best of luck to you....

EeeeeW! Eat a taxidermied fish? Yuck! 😳🤢😵 Prolly no amount of Tabasco sauce could help that!

I'm sorry that I didn't check your listings earlier. Man, have you ever got great merchandise.
Now that @lamber9347 brought attention to your other listings (especially the collectibles) I'd like to add that you might want to totally revisit your Returns policy.
A seller offering Free Returns would have the ability to reduce the amount of the (inevitable) refund if an item is ever returned to you different/destroyed/de-valued than the item you shipped. (Still won't make you whole, but takes the sting out a bit.) It's one of the last seller protections for a (non-TRS) seller, and I suggest you consider taking advantage of it. Good luck to you.

It's up to you to file an insurance claim if damaged during shipping. Insurance is for the seller as buyers have eBay's money back guarantee. You still have to refund in full. The buyer is not required to fix anything. If you want it back then issue the return shipping label and you can fix it.
