Did you mean:

refund

The returned item was lost by UPS, the sender did not insure the parcel. The insurance claim is minimum ( 100 ) but the item price was 850. The ebay already paid back to the buyer  ( the buyer protection policy ) full amount and i stay with NO item, NO  money. Where to look for correct information?

Re: refund

First, what was the reason for a return? Second, when a buyer files a claim for 'Item not as described' (I presume this was the case, or 'Changed his mind' may be another) and you responded by selecting an option to return the item for a refund, ebay clearly states that you are obliged to refund only if there is a tracking number and it shows that the return was delivered to you. Then ebay gives you a few more days to 'inspect' the item so it is in the same condition as it was when you sent it and then ebay asks you to refund.

If there is no proof that the returned item was delivered to you (as I understand it, UPS lost the package), how could ebay refund? Only if there was some sort of a glitch. ebay protection means that if the buyer and seller cannot agree to resolve a problem, ebay steps in and does the decision. For example, buyer claims the item arrived damaged, file a case and the seller does not respond by the deadline, ebay steps in and refunds the buyer.  That's what the protection means. Buyer protection does not mean that they can keep the item and get a refund without returning the item.

You need to call ebay and ask them to reverse the refund as it surely looks unjustified based on your narrative. If the salesrep does not know what to do, ask for a supervisor.

Re: refund

Ebay will always refund the buyer, when a pkg is undeliverable, as long as he has tracking to prove it was shipped.

Re: refund

It's my understanding that if the buyer paid for the postage, they are responsible for the parcel arriving at the seller's location and if it didn't, the seller would not have to refund.

If the seller paid for return shipping and the item was lost in shipping, they would still have to refund.

However, since the buyer has already been refunded, I don't know if ebay would be willing to do a courtesy refund that high even if the buyer was responsible for the loss.
