first class versus priority

Has any other seller had this problem?  Twice in the last week I have had a package that weighed just under one pound and under the ebay shipping options first class came up (which is a lot cheaper than the other options).  When I brought the package to the post office, however, they sent it back and said that first class is only up to 13 oz.

Re: first class versus priority

The weight lmit is 13 ounces if you are shipping a First Clsas package using psotage purchased over-the-counter at the Post Office.  If you purchase postage online, the weight lmit is 15.999 ounces.

If you were trying to purchase postage at the PO for a package over 13 ounces, then the clerk was correct.  If you had purchased a label through eBay and the clerk rejected your package, then they need some training. If it happens again, ask to speak to the Postmaster.  Or just drop your package in the mail box.
