Hi all:
Here's an alert to anyone that uses "ebay standard shipping" for things like collectibles that weigh less than 3 ounces. For the past several weeks ebay has acknowledged there is a problem and that shipping option is not functioning, even if your buyer has already paid for it. The default is first class postage which costs more than three times as much. I've had chats with several ebay specialists. They acknowledge that the tech team is aware and is trying to fix the glitch. But, you never hear back from anyone and the problem persists. You can't even talk to anyone higher up than the "leadership team member." Don't bother chatting with the lower level worker because they'll try to defend what is going on. What little headway that can be made is only by asking to speak/chat with a supervisor. But that ends up not working either. Has anyone had this experience? Any solutions out there? Anyone know how to get in touch with someone higher up who can resolve this?

Hi All,
Yes! We need help. I have also spoken to numerous reps this month who tell me the same thing " they know of the glitch and are trying to fix it." In my case my items are under 3 ounces and under 1/2 inch, my buyers see that their cost will be $1.44 (USPS first Standard 1st Class.) Which is what they pay. Then I go to get a label and it is between $3.50-$4.50!
I have been told that the "Classic View" used to allow us to pick "USPS Standard Large Envelope." But this new view doesn't have that selection and that seems to be the problem. I have also been told that we cannot go back to the previous Classic View. Hope someone out there can help us!

Yes, this is the problem I've been having with no action by ebay as to whether they are doing anything at all. The "Classic" view problem is not credible. I've been using all types of "views" to try and see if the problem can be resolved - and it can't. I've left messages on Ebay's Facebook page, had two online chats, etc. all to no avail. You'd think if Ebay really wanted to be customer-centric they'd at least answer in some way; or notify sellers that the problem has been fixed or will be fixed by a time certain. Silence is not an option --- unless you are Ebay and then it seems silence is mandatory.

Tampa, FL post offices no longer accept ebay standard mailing. I was told that other Florida post offices have also stopped accepting. Mailings were returned and a fee for those returns. Several customers contacted us that they had to pay $3.50 to $4.00 for delivery of our 3-ounce mailings. I talked with an ebay rep and they said they had never heard of the problem, so don't waste your time contacting ebay's "no help line". We now use stamps.com for single cards under $5.00 and regular USPS for items over $5.

I have a problem with the EBAY Standard Envelope. It seems that they are unable to get acceptance scan. So I drop them off at the post office and maybe or maybe not they get scanned along the way. I shipped an envelope on August 4th and it never got scanned. It eventually got scanned on August 23. However EBAY found for the customer and debited my account.
