eBay shipping calculator

I’m having a problem with the shipping calculator for a sale where a buyer bought 4 items and wants combined shipping. I’ve put in the measurements and weight on the page to send an invoice but the amounts I put in don’t carry over and adjust on the first page. There’s a $10 difference in shipping between the items listed separately and then combined, and I’m not going to eat the cost because this buyer has been difficult from the beginning and I have a bad feeling they will find some imagined fault and try to return the items. Anyway, I’ve looked up all the help pages and nothing helps. Any advice?

Re: eBay shipping calculator

Assuming the buyer has purchased, but not paid yet.

Do all the items offer flat rate shipping?

Did you select all the items here?

No flat rate, and yes, those are the items.

Re: eBay shipping calculator

Hi @pepper1202 . Use the calculator here to figure out the rate, then manually enter that rate into the invoice.

https://www.ebay.com/shp/calc/rates

If you're still having trouble you can provide the package weight and dimensions, the ship to/from zips, and the carrier/service you plan to use and we can help you figure out the rate.

The invoice may not be updating as eBay's been making changes to the shipping calculator, so the two probably aren't synching right now. This is why you'll need to calculate the rate then manually enter it on the invoice.

Re: eBay shipping calculator

Thanks, I’ve been successful at determining the rate at the new weight but it doesn’t carry over to the page for the invoice. I see you said I can manually enter the amount for postage but I’m worried that it won’t reflect the correct weight when I buy a shipping label and then I’ll  be out $10 in additional shipping. I’m already barely breaking even before all my fees so I absolutely do not want this to happen. Again, I really appreciate your input.

Doesn't matter if it does or doesn't. When you buy the shipping label you have complete control and can revise prefilled weight/dim as needed before purchasing the label.
