Hi All, I'm a buyer and new to this forum & I'd just like to make a comment. I've read a lot of seller complaint's about eBay refunding buyers for delayed items caused by USPS delays.
These delays are unacceptable on medium and large boxes, KC distribution alone will stall a box for 6 or more days........as a buyer , going forward, I'm going to ask my seller to ship UPS........even Fedex has slowed to a crawl !!
FYI : This does not apply to small items & baggie stuff........AND, for some strange reason, Amason stuff does not seem to be affected { Hummmm !! }

Curious the items you are buying that you can't wait a little for? Amazon is their own delivery service so not surprising they have fast delivery.

That's fine. Just be sure to ask your seller BEFORE making the purchase in case he turns you down.

You DO understand that Amazon (note spelling) has their own delivery network - right?

I live in the country and my USPS mail lady sometimes makes two trips out from the post office because of the huge amount of Amazon packages they must delivery. USPS also delivers Amazon packages to my house on Sunday. They get their stuff delivered first for some reason and USPS packages come second. I guess DeJoy gave them a special deal to the detriment of USPS.

Interesting... here in the 'burbs of Chicago, Amazon does their own last-mile deliveries; packages never go through our post office. Instead we see these monster electric delivery vans all over the place, big friendly gray whales that swoosh through the neighborhood dispensing packages to all the good little boy and girl consumers... 😉

Yeah, but I live on a small farm in the sticks, , and out here those Amazon delivery people will only deliver a mile or two out of town, after that they turn over the packages to the USPS !!!
As a buyer, I always communicate with the seller before any purchase. If it's something that's not immediately needed, I don't care how it's sent, but waiting over three weeks for a box is ridiculous.

To each his own, but I don't consider a 3 week delivery period as a " wait a little".. Especially a fragile or expensive item.

Methinks you are correct on the DeJoy assessment. I also live in the country, and here the Amazon delivery will only go a small distance out of town.

Same here in DC. USPS hasn't delivered Amazon packages here for several years now.

I don't know why some USPS centers have such long delays, which I expect will only get worse through the holiday season. I live in a small midwestern town, and this past week ordered some packaging material from Amazon. Although I often see Amazon vans making deliveries, much of the stuff I order (including these supplies) comes via "UPS Sure Post", which begins with UPS but gets handed off the USPS after reaching the UPS hub about 20 miles from here.

UPS also hands over packages to USPS, when the address is nowhere near a UPS facility.
