I sent an item out threw eBay international shipping. now the item seems to be lost and the customer wants there money back. when I contact usps and ask them to track the package they tell they can not, that this tracking number is not a usps number. so I called eBay, they tell me they won't charge me the listing fee's. well thats great. I lost 170 dollars on an item, and 58 dollars in shipping, and eBay is not going to charge me the 17 dollar fee. sooooo, who eats the rest of it ?? thats right, ME !

I just went to the eBay global shipping link. would you believe that comments are turned off !? I wonder why they would do that.

It happened to me last November. The item I had shipped to Russia was lost. I reimbursed the buyer, then called eBay and filed the lost item claim with them (I was using eBay Standard International shipping). As a result, I was refunded for the lost item by eBay. Since you were using eBay International, its their responsibility to deliver your item to the buyer. USPS has nothing to do with that. Read carefully eBay policy, and don't give up.

similar experience here. Ive had 2 packages turned around by export customs with ebay shipping.. this never happens with first class international. Something is wrong with their customs auto generated paperwork.

It doesn't make matters any easier that in the middle of shipping, they shift from one shipper to another, with different tracking numbers which you can't see when you only click on tracking. Pathetic.😖

If it went through EIS then just have the customer file an INR, you should not lose a dime. Ebay and EIS are responsible for things sent through them. Don't refund the customer, ebay has to do that.

What is INR? Sorry

INR is item not received. It's a type of claim buyers can file.
If you have tracking to eIS hub that's delivered. You have nothing to do.
I'd just apologize and inform them to open an item not received case.
You do not need to do anything. Ebays eIS will take care of it and refund them out of eBays pocket.
You are completely protected.

Anyone who refunds the buyer on an EIS shipment has lost their money.
The proper procedure is for the buyer to fine a claim for item not received and be refunded by Ebay.
Ebay Global shipping no longer exists, do not confuse it with EIS.

They have some nerve just opting me into international shipping, now I have to opt out, **bleep**? If I wanted international shipping I would have chosen it, I hate when company's do this crap, oh just sign me in for a program without my consent, then its my job to go opt out, that **bleep**.

I have used the GPS from eBay for many years but as of late i terminated the service. I sold 27 items at a value over $4000.00 to a buyer in Hong Kong. It was in (3) separate boxes. They opened the boxes and shipped most of the item to the buyer but after 40 days of GPS receiving the boxes they are $825.00 of merchandise that have not shipped to the buyer (probably stolen or lost) the buyer place a claim but instead of paying the buyer GPS held my funds. In the process i tried contacting GPS with no answers or answers like "don't worry we will make sure that it is taken care of and you are not liable for anything. There is nobody you can actually email or talk to. Frustration from the buyer and myself have lead me to cancel the program. It is absolutely shameful the treatment that both the buyer (he was not able contact GPS himself) and myself incurred (i could not contact GPS either). It ruins your sellers reputation and it deters buyers from purchasing from you. After 40 days of receiving the merchandise the GPS as yet to ship or give a refund to the buyer. Proceed at your own risk.
