I've been seller on ebay for 23 years. Every bunch of years eBay changes there shipping interface. in the last 5 or so years when shipping from eBay / UPS, the eBay site would route you to the UPS site and have all the buyers info already filled in , and you would change the Declared value as needed, Why the value of the item did't carry over from the auction I never understood that, the interface prior did.
Anyway, eBay now has a new interface to UPS where shipping for that carrier is now on the eBay site rather then routing you to UPS.
Here's what I can't figure out. How can you change the UPS Declared Value? They offer a standard $100 but my item is $2500. I called eBay support, was on the phone with them for 30min and couldn't figure it out.
There is no ShipSecure... i think thats what its called...insurance available.. I think thats just for USPS.
