buying signature confirmation. HOW?

Still learning.

I have been trying to find out HOW to add a signature confirmation to a shipment and all I get is thresholds and Ebay policy.  There was a mention of going to your seller hub, but I don't know anything about that either.  Read that you can add it when you purchase  your shipping label, but so far I have not seen that option.  I don't see it when setting up shipping for your item for sale.   SO, how the heck can you add this??

Re: buying signature confirmation. HOW?

If the item is already sold and paid for, then you will go to 'items ready to ship' in your 'seller hub'; then at the bottom, after inputting size and weight, it has a place to 'check mark' if you want it to go 'signature'

Know that

a.) signature is required over $750

b.) most buyer do NOT expect a 'signature' if it's much less than that and need to be 'informed' that is what you plan to do as most are not 'home' to 'give' a signature

If the item is not paid for yet; you won't see it.

If you are talking about being able to 'input that amount' when doing a listing, you just need to figure adding about $4 'handling' to 'calculated' shipping or just manually add $4 to 'fixed price shipping' (all when 'doing' a lisitng)

When creating a listing, @bighank4, it depends if you're using flat or calculated shipping. For flat shipping just add the cost for sig conf to what you're charging for shipping. If you're using calculated shipping, then you can add sig conf either as a separate handling fee (you'll have to click the 3 dot menu to see more shipping options on the listing form) or you can add the cost for sig conf. to the item price.

When purchasing a shipping label, as a new seller you're probably defaulted to the simplified form. So you need to expand your options using the link on the top right of the label page as pictured below.

Yes, if it was not shown in the listing that a signature would be required for items under $750, don't add it.

There is no separate, specific option for "Signature confirmation" when setting up a listing. It's there when you purchase your label, but not when setting up your listing.  Same as insurance. The "Shipping and handling" section on the listing will calculate the postage cost, but if you want to add anything else (insurance, signature, etc.) then you have to add a flat amount as a handling fee. If you're charging a flat rate for shipping, just add it to the amount that you charge the buyer.
