In my shipping preferences, I've added a flat shipping rule for combined payments. So under the Shipping tab, it shows:

The calculated shipping rule and Promotional shipping rule aren't specified since they don't apply to any of my listings. But I have seven different rules under the Flat shipping rule setting since, when I list more, there are different additional cost amounts for vhs recordings, books, records, magazines, etc. Maybe that's the problem...
I would not think that it should be a problem if you have more than one flat rate shipping rule...items still have to be added to the cart to get the discounts. I brought this issue up with Trinton during a weekly chat, then sent him specific item numbers from my listings to review and send to the tech team. I would not think that they only "fixed" my account, but I guess it is possible.
You could tag Trinton with some of your item numbers and have him review them like he did mine.

@Anonymous Can you possibly shed light on the discrepancy in the wording for the cost of each additional item purchased? My listings don't have the wording about the shopping cart in the Shipping tab. Here are the item numbers of some of my listings:

Hi @packratville, I'm not exactly sure why that wording shows up in some listings and not others. Both @Anonymous and I have reported this to the developers but we do not have an update at this time.

Interesting that you have not received an update on your report to the developers. I checked about 15 of my listings, including single quantity, multiple quantity and variations, recently and they all are making mention of using the cart now. Is it possible for some kind of "fix" to be applied only to my items?

Thanks for replying. It seems strange to me too that the wording is different in @mcdougle4248 's listings for the different scenarios. Having a store vs not having a store shouldn't make a difference, but could that possibly be a factor? Or somehow I'm overlooking something in my combined items settings.
