If you print a Priority Mail shipping label through eBay, can you have the Post Office pick up the package at your house? If so, what is the procedure?

Yes, they will. You'll need to set up an account at usps.com to schedule a pickup. https://tools.usps.com/go/ScheduleAPickupAction!input.action
You can schedule for Priority, First Class, Express and International mail. You cannot schedule for Media Mail or Parcel Select only. You can schedule those if you have at least one First Class or higher package.

If it is small enough you can just put it in your mailbox with the flag up. That is what most of my customers on my route do.
Or you can go to usps.com and schedual a pick-up, here is the page:

Just like any other outgoing mail.

Yup. I even have one customer that put up a second mailbox(Jumbo) beside their standard size one. Probably not the best idea if you are in a high crime area, it screams I get a lot of 'dookie' but where they are is very rural and could be mistaken for a shared driveway.

I got me a big ol' box. Found two damaged jumbo sized ones for about $10 each. Cut the back off both of them and sealed them together to make one with doors at both ends so I don't have to step out in the road. Son of a gun is HUUUGE! Regulation height and width at both ends, but longer over all.

I have one on the route that he gets some boxes that are just a bit too long for his Jumbo. We would rubberband the flap to the catch at the top. The snow plow caught it last year. He beat it back into shape and replaced the back with a hinged flap made from a Rubbermade tote lid. Now when it's too long the package pokes out the back with the plastic making a rain cover and the lid shuts.
I'm waiting for a expandable box. Like those tiny gloves that streach when you put your hands in them.

If you can catch your postal carrier when they deliver your mail, and they are nice, he/she can take it and scan it as 'accepted'.

Just want to add:
The suggestions given apply if you have mail pick up in your area.
If there is not regular mail pick up I do not believe that you can schedule a pick up. No one to do it.

Above my regulation box I have a small house with a door that goes up when there are outgoing packages that do not fit the lower.
It also provides a place for most carrier deliveries so that the driver does not need to exit the vehicle to put things in the garage.
It has a hinged back panel for oversized to stick out, and 2 retractable outrigger sticks on the far side for long packages in nice weather.
The lower box is used for small items. Outgoing small packages are loaded in a plastic bag for easy removal by the carrier.
Small packages can not be placed in the upper "small house" as the local "crow patrol" makes regular runs along the highway corridor in search of treats. They take them out, do not scan them, and misdeliver

Cute, and a good solution to those dang Step2 mailboxes. Though the one you have isn't that bad but the smaller ones really pinch in in the middle and the slimline ones only hold the smallest of packages. Not only do they inch in but they have the top 2 inches of the interior blocked off.

be aware of a few things.
Your buyer pays on Monday. You print the label and schedule the pick up for Tuesday.
It gets picked up Tuesday as part of the regular mail. It goes to the post office and will very likely sit there overnight. Somethime the next day, Wednesday it will get scanned in as accepted (fingers crossed)
Buyer thinks it shipped Wedneday afternoon. Now imagine what happens if you don't print the label and schedule the pickup for a day or 2....... throw in it sitting over the weekend.

Not where I live but not calling you a liar. If I schedule a pickup, the average package shows:
Picked up
Arrived at po
Depart po
Arrived at sort facility
By midnight of the day of the pickup

And I get an email from the usps when my carrier picks it up with the number of packages that were picked up included in the email.
