I recently bought a item which i thought it was going to be shipped in USPS Priority mail (which is what i use to ship, and what i like) but apperently it was shipped with something called FedEx Smartpost. The estimated delivery is This wensday to this sunday (on ebay) on FEDEX site the estimated delivery is next tuesday. The thing is, the package is kinda ish close to where i live. A day ago it said
In transit
Apr-16-17, 04:27 PDT, CHATTANOOGA, GA 30757
Then another update came up saying
In transit
Apr-16-17, 20:01 PDT, ELLENWOOD, GA 30294
Chattanooga is pretty close to ellenwood and certainly not more then 12 hours away. I understand the driver had to rest or something but 20 hours to travel 137 miles. The last update was
In transit
Apr-17-17, 08:16 PDT, CHULA, GA 31733
which again the times are absurd. Im confused on what's going on. Is the FedEx tracking system just super slow, or is the truck actually going that slow?
Is there anyhopes that the package will arive here by tommorow?
Thanks for the help
Edit: forgot to say i live in miami, so the final destination is miami

Looks like your package is being scanned at certain stations. One driver does NOT drive the package all the way. Once it arrives at a station, it's offloaded, scanned, then reloaded onto a different truck.
Once it gets to your town, it will be delivered to your local post office. From there, it's then delivered to you. That usually takes a day or two.

@morganmlgman It might be that all the packages have to go through the FedEx Memphis, TN hub but that's just a guess. I'll make this comment, If you paid for USPS Priority Mail and the Seller shipped FedEx Smart Post they should not be doing that. If it were say FedEx Home Delivery that's different, maybe a day in delivery but Smart Post may take longer and of course is less expensvie I believe. You could check this by comparing the zip to zip calculators for both USPS & FedEx Smart Post ... you will need approximate weight and dimensions (critical). Either way just use the same info for each check.

IMO FedEx Home Delivery is also a serious downgrade.Even worse than SmartPost.
Switching carriers or mail class should only be done with the approval of the buyer.
In my area, while FedEx SmartPost is slow at least I will get it. Other FedEx and there is a good chance the driver will slap a door tag on my mailbox and not even attempt. I seldom have time to run up to the terminal (close to an hour away from my home and further than that from my work).
My feedback would be:
Seller DOWNGRADED shipping and switched carriers.

Double check the listing and if it states Priority it should be Priority and not downgraded. It doesn't matter if shipping was included. You still pay for the S/H it's just rolled into the listing.

@takikawa4 Checked back this morning and it didnt update at all. At this rate i would be pu ky if i get it by Wednesday of what i see. I might get it today, but i wont know any updates. If i dont get it by today i at least hope the package will be left in the USPS thing by then so i can get it tommorow. Im going to email the buyer and tell him to never use smartpost ever again, but im not leaving a bad review. Anyways thank
