Why do so many toy categories default to MEDIA MAIL when I go to print labels?

I keep printing labels in bulk and then when I get around to putting them on the boxes I realize that yet again I am sitting there with a Media mail label for a toy. It is double frustrating because often in the same shipment I will have an item that can definitely be media mail that ebay won't let me generate a media mail label for and I had to go to Pirate Ship to do it.

If they are gatekeeping Media Mail in categories that tend to frequently have books then why in the world are they leaving it wide open and defaulting to it in video games and various toy categories that would likely never have a single item that qualified. The last one this happened with was in a Bobblehead category.

I have 400+ listings; all ebay motors/engines/other and about 20% of my items have 'media mail' not only available (shouldn't) but bold to pick it.

Luckily everything I sell is different size, weight and either ships 1st Class or Priority (which an also be 'A' or Med or Lg Flat Rate) so I just click the 'see more' and choose the right one as I have to input size/weight on every item)

It's been this was for most of 2022.

I keep making the mistake with stuff that would go first class that only weighs a few ounces. I put everything in, the prices look right and I don't even notice it was media mail until I already printed it.
