For what reason did you open a return case?
02-01-2021 03:34 AM
It depends on the reason selected for the return. Was it the issue for returning the fault of the seller or did you change your mind or maybe it didn't fit? Many sellers are individuals selling from their spare bedrooms or garages, it's not like a big box store that can absorb the costs.

You have to pay for a return label because you are getting a very competitive price for the items you're purchasing. Our profit margin in eBay is less than %30. If Sellers post prices out of range, venues will noticeably standout
So for profit margin of less than Costco, we deserve the respect of not getting abused. I would understand in cases of merchandise Not Being As Described. However, Sellers couldn't be wrong all of the times
The rate of return on eBay is higher than what's being advertised by trends. In my experience, Buyers have learned to abuse the system. Sad but true. So imagine, if you don't have to pay for returns!
eBay isn't replacement for Big Box stores. This community is based on Merchandise Liquidation

Read eBay's money back guarantee.

any number of reasons depending on if you are the seller or buyer. Unless you tell us more there is nothing anyone can explain to you.

Are you the buyer? If so, you probably listed a remorse reason in a Return. From your past feedback, it appears that this is an ongoing issue...??

Wow - that is a lot of negativity in your feedback history. Plenty of words that I’m sure I won’t hear in polite company. Yikes.

Is that true - that eBay is more for inventory liquidation? I don’t get that feeling, but maybe I’m shopping in categories that aren’t representative of eBay as a whole. That margin percentage looks a bit low.

Yeah, the margin percent depends on which category you are selling in and if you are sourcing stuff or selling your old stuff. My guess is that "in general" 30% is about right "on average". BUT hey, love to see others chime in with their margins & categories.

Maybe you should start selling!? You wouldn't know till you try
eBay is an Auction model website, pioneer on its way. Seller could sell from used household goods to newly manufactured items.
For all Auction Houses, rules are clear. Items are ' as is, where is' and 'all sales are final'. When buyers step in, terms will be announced and all are clear.
No Seller would auction it's inventory unless for liquidation. It was scary for many to try this, still is, so Fixed Price venues were introduced to eBay system. But the base of buying format on eBay is an auction system. Auctioning is a basic form of liquidation

Maybe eBay bounced you out of the MBG so any time you want a return, you have to pay

WOW!!! Look at the feedback left for sellers..Shameful! Even using really bad curse words..after I looked at page 2, no doubt this buyer played the system and those poor sellers..
Just wow..hoping Ebay did just that!

I am a seller - I buy inventory almost every single week to sell 🙂
I've never bought liquidation inventory to sell - at least what I would consider to be liquidation items.

Great, if you need anything, I am a liquidator
