Why are the direct links to USPS tracking gone and only the number shows.

I noticed the links in the web interface and app no longer allow you to directly click  on a hyperlink to usps.  This is a real negative on shopping here for a buyer  perspective.  You can’t even copy the link anymore.   I think this is a sad attempt to try to keep people on the platform.  At least for me it’s a reason to start shopping other platforms more I think.   Is this temporary or permanent. Comments and Thoughts ?

Yes, I’ve noticed the same issue.  

For now, I’m assuming it’s a glitch.  I’ve had to go to my PirateShip account to follow up with tracking updates.  It’s definitely inconvenient.

i wonder if buyers have the same issue?

Hi @mg9826 @the_nauga . I noticed this a couple days ago and reported it as a tech issue. It's only affecting USPS tracking, not other carriers.

If this is impacting you, file a tech report - it's fast and easy and eBay does review these reports. The more people reporting, the higher priority the issue will get in the fix queue.

Options through the app:

1. Shake your device while the app is open and that will trigger the option for you to file a tech report or submit feedback on product features.

2. Anywhere you see the three dots or the ? you can tap on that to file a report. Screenshot below.

On the web:

Click the ? icon on the bottom right corner of almost any eBay page and that will trigger the option to file a tech report, submit feedback to eBay, and more. Screenshots here.

As a buyer, links to track packages shown in the "view order details" section of my Purchase History seem to be displaying for me, though I do not see a link to USPS directly. The tracking displays in a pop-up, and the tracking number is copy-able via an icon.

I can see older FedEx and UPS links from past purchases, but not USPS links.

As a seller I noticed this nonsense.

Slight pain, but "copy" , search the web gets me my info. Extra clicks, but I can get my info.

I agree but it’s a pain.  Changed behavior without any notice etc is not good change management practice.

Like I said above @mg9826 , because it's only affecting one carrier, USPS, I believe it to be a tech bug, which means eBay will probably fix it. If others are reporting following my advice posted upthread, the fix will happen sooner rather than later as eBay will see the impact to buyer and sellers.
