There is it "One-Day Shipping" on the item's page. Yet I won't get the item for a week?
One-Day shipping only means the seller has to print out the shipping label in a day.
Ebay seems to be hoping people aren't paying attention and buy the item thinking they will get it in ONE day rather than Amazon's TWO-day shipping.
Same with having that obnoxioius option on the side of every auction, One, Two, Three-day shipping. The extra option takes up room and doesn't mean anything.
You can have "one-day shipping" and a four-day handling time, big deal!

Yes, there is a big difference in one day shipping versus one day DELIVERY.

Actually, as I read the OP, their beef is not with the individual sellers, but with eBay's terminology that implies that the sellers will perform miracles.

NO you can not. "one day shipping" refers to how fast the seller gets it out the door. If there is a four day handling time then you have "four day shipping".
As a previous poster mentioned, shipping is how fast I get it out the door, delivery is how fast the post office gets it to you. The terms are not interchangeable.

Except Amazon will state 2 day shipping and mean that it takes 2 days to get to you. What they don't say is that the sellers handling time is not included and they have up to 5 days to get it in the mail. BTDT.
