What is going on with my package?

I ordered an item from South Carolina. 

On Tuesday the 21st it shown it was within 2 hours of me. I live in Missouri and it made it to Kansas so very close....I checked tracking today the 22nd and it is in Wisconsin (10 hours away)

USPS may have mis-routed it. No big deal, happens all the time, USPS will turn it back around usually within a few days.

Also sometimes USPS uses routes that don't appear to make sense to the recipient, but they are the correct route. They may send a package past its destination as that's the sort facility designated to the route, then the item makes its way back to the recipient's locale.
