Please need some support here from everyone. What is it going to take before EBAY starts ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? No matter what class of mail I use from Media Mail through Priority Mail the past 2 weeks and especially this week the delays have become incomprehensible. Seriously 7 out of every 10 packages lately have seen no movement and surpassed expected delivery dates including Priority Mail.
I have not even been using Media Mail anymore because it takes 21-30 days for packages to arrive and that is ONLY AFTER I Open Lost Package and Missing Mail searches with USPS. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS! With the 4th Quarter coming soon I can't even fathom what it will be like around November and December. Are we all going to have to stop SELLING around Thanksgiving just to make sure we protect our inventory and investments and not have to give stuff away for free due to the USPS lack of ability to perform a service they are OVERPAID for namely delivering the mail in a timely manner and meeting their own ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES?
EBAY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO HELP US WITH SOME RELIEF FROM OVER INFLATED DELIVERY ESTIMATES ON YOUR END and THE LACK OF SERVICE WE ARE PAYING FOR FROM THE USPS???

what is the big deal with USPS.they are doing a great job,how great...not sure but I think they are better than fedex or ups.I have 1 day handlig time and I ship 6 days a week and use only 1st class .I am quite sure some of them have arrived late but I am not really sure.
In my mind packages only arrive late if you know about them, thats why i do not bother checking tracking. So far so good.I ship 150 packages a month and no real complaints.
If tracking is making you agitated then just stop looking at it.
********* general comment.........
No one agitated or complaining here, I am acknowledging they are failing by the evidence provided by ebay members.
I stated my view, and gave a possible solution.
Even USPS acknowledges the massive issues they are having. This issue is not imagined.
I have had several buyer making complaints in the past week. I have NO history of such complaints in the past.
The boards a lit up with concerns related to USPS. That's what these boards are for to discuss issues that concerns members.
If you wish to ignore/not look at your tracking, I understand. If this subject does not interest you, I understand.
It is obvious that you are receiving stellar shipping services, so not sure why this thread interest you.
When a pattern of behavior reaches the level that people take time out of their day to post a concern, such as shipping, its time to address it, to listen to members.
Just a general reply.
Regards.

Ebay does not care.
The House does not care.
The Senate does not care.
The President does not care.
The USPS bigwigs don't care.
They all lie and say they do, but they don't. If it comes out of a politician's or a corporate executive's mouth, it's a lie.
We are on our own, and need to do what we need to do. I still have one day handling, but I have gone from calculated MM and FCM to flat rate economy to get the extra delivery time estimate and stopped shipping internationally a couple of months ago. So far, so good, but I have had very few delays with either outgoing or incoming mail here.
I cannot say the same about some incoming Fedex packages, a couple of which have been sitting in Fedex's possession in California for the past eight days now. Good thing I'm patient and realize that there is a pandemic raging right now, with people sick all over the place. Things everywhere are going to get much worse, probably very soon.

That doesn't really work when you're getting multiple INRs. I ship within 24 hours, often same day & I've had 4 INR's so far. I'm pretty low volume, so thankfully I can deal with it, but I imagine high volume sellers are seeing many more!

Also, things are not the same all over the country, different areas have different impacts. I have rec'd today & last week, 2 Fedex shipments that arrived in 2 days, today's may have even been 1 day. So around here, Fedex is going great, USPS not so much.

We (usps) are not overpaid. Postage is set by Congress on a 'break even' budget.

In reply to message 2 in the thread.
USPS does not control the GSP, ebay does.

I'm not seeing delays either. In fact I am taking a break from pricing a record lot that arrived a couple days ago. It was shipped Media Mail on July 17th.

Two things contribute to chronic late or lost packages. #1 short staff at the local level. #2 poor quality labeling and packing.

I am a rural carrier, my sub transferred to a clerk job when our head clerk retired almost 2 years ago. The sub position has been posted 6 times. No takers.

Ummm, I'm well aware of that. If you read my posts, there are severe issues with both the USPS & with Ebay's GSP center.

EBAY Does NOT GIVE a Sh*T! They just keep taking the money from us and refunding international buyers. EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW IT'S STILL IN TRANSIT DUE TO COVID **bleep**! They buyers get the items eventually and you the seller gets ripped off in the end. They get their money and the items. I have had 3 international sales not received showing still in transit (DUE TO COVID HOLDS), but no protection from Ebay at all. EBAY ALWAYS WILL SIDE WITH THE BUYER AND GIVE THEM THE MONEY.. It's an EVIL System here. EVEN in a pandemic crisis we get no protection from ebay to who we PAY THE FEES TO!

I am not having any issues with media mail. Granted I have not been buying as much and stopped selling all together as I do anyway during busy times at USPS. Of the three most recent I have one package shipped from Florida to Ohio on July 17 that arrived on the 22nd, One that was shipped also on the 17th from Texas that arrived Monday the 20th, and another that was shipped on the 17th that is showing departing Warrendale PA, which is my local package hub so I expect it tommorrow.

I totally understand the Pandemic. EBay obviously is a ware of the pandemic too. As they now allow buyers and extra two weeks to ship a return.
I didn't get an extra hour from eBay to ship a package to a customer?
I don't understand that one at all. I never expected eBay to give sellers anything, but a month to return a package.?

I feel you. I had a package which went out last Wednesday via first class. It was to be delivered to a town that is only about ONE hour away. (I thought about taking to them myself but, we must have tracking for seller protection). It still has not been delivered. Tracking has said "in transit" for 6 days now. It's insane that it takes over a week to deliver a package 50 miles. The buyer is understanding in this case because I got it in the mail the same day as it was purchased but, this is out of control! Some kind of notice needs to be posted on the site about slow delivery times. Something that isnt coming from us.
