Please need some support here from everyone. What is it going to take before EBAY starts ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? No matter what class of mail I use from Media Mail through Priority Mail the past 2 weeks and especially this week the delays have become incomprehensible. Seriously 7 out of every 10 packages lately have seen no movement and surpassed expected delivery dates including Priority Mail.
I have not even been using Media Mail anymore because it takes 21-30 days for packages to arrive and that is ONLY AFTER I Open Lost Package and Missing Mail searches with USPS. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS! With the 4th Quarter coming soon I can't even fathom what it will be like around November and December. Are we all going to have to stop SELLING around Thanksgiving just to make sure we protect our inventory and investments and not have to give stuff away for free due to the USPS lack of ability to perform a service they are OVERPAID for namely delivering the mail in a timely manner and meeting their own ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES?
EBAY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO HELP US WITH SOME RELIEF FROM OVER INFLATED DELIVERY ESTIMATES ON YOUR END and THE LACK OF SERVICE WE ARE PAYING FOR FROM THE USPS???

I just posted in another thread about this. It's ridiculous that neither them, nor the PO will say anything, when so many pkgs are being routed via crazy routes that are taking weeks to arrive. I DO understand why, as the sort center my stuff goes to had severe enough COVID issues that the county tried to shut them down (unsuccessfully) but for Ebay & the USPS to pretend it's not happening is ludicrous!
BTW, IDK if you saw in my other thread, my pkg at the GSP Center was FINALLY processed today. It's been sitting there since 7/12. IDK if my starting the thread had anything to do with it or if it was just a coincidence. But I wanted to lyk that I finally have action on mine!

They apparently aren't doing much. While waiting for a package to arrive from the UK to the USA, I noticed that due to the passage of time Ebay's buyer guarantee had expired. It's been two months since I placed the order, and now my only recourse may be through a refund from the seller (except he is unresponsive) or maybe PayPal.

Hey, maybe you haven't heard, there is this pandemic thing going on.
If you don't like the service from USPS then switch to somebody else to do your deliveries.
Personally I've had just a couple of really slow USPS deliveries, the rest are taking an extra 1 or 2 days (First Class) and 3 - 5 days (MM).

Here's the other thread BTW.

This is an issue that can probably be traced to a local distribution center. Are all of your delays occurring at the same place or in different locations?
USPS has always been understaffed and their regular mail volume is down but the parcels are through the roof right now.
All carriers, UPS, Fedex, USPS have extended delivery times and suspended most guarantees due to the pandemic. Media Mail currently is the last to move/ deliver according to our local Post Master.

My package is STILL sitting there 13 days and counting!

Delay are being imposed as cost savings measure. See https://www.staradvertiser.com/2020/07/15/breaking-news/usps-could-delay-mail-delivery-as-new-boss-p...

No shi" sherlock, really? THEN ADDRESS THE ISSUE EBAY AND USPS! Don't IGNORE IT!

I see some packages are delayed as well. Even I proactively changed handing time to 3 days and ship the next day, some packages are still not making it on time. Maybe changing handling time to 4-5 days is to accommodate USPS late delivery.

Rather than depending on someone else to solve a problem, make a little effort to protect yourself.
Extending your handling time from 24 or 48 hour to five, seven or even 30 days, will also enlarge the estimated window for delivery that eBay gives your customer.
As well as USPS , there have been reports of slow delivery form UPS, FedEx, DHL, CanPar, and various other smaller private firms.
Many of which normally sub-contract some of their deliveries to the postal system.

I shipped two packages in this past week and both arrived maybe a day later than I would have expected them to, but still a day before the estimate given when I mailed them. Both were Priority, one to VA and one to PA.

Delays were in place months ago when the pandemic began. They are not "being imposed". Delays may occur because they don't want the postal workers racking up the overtime. The plan is to hire more employees with the overtime saved. This is direct knowledge from two local postmasters. Both offices have signs indicating they are hiring.
I've posted this before. Year after year it's been "the post office is going under". I've heard it my whole life and they're still here.

Ive noticed many postal trucks working on sundays lately , but during the week not so much

Extending my handling time is great in theory but the truth of the matter I ship ALL my parcels in LESS THAN 24hrs. So because EBAY sends estimates based on my ACTUAL Historical shipping data this makes your suggestion a Moot point. but thanks for the input I appreciate it
