Hi guys.
I seem to have a first time where a eBay seller seems to stall the shipping of an item I bought from him. I don't feel like there should be anything hindering the seller from shipping. He has responded to a couple of my messages about seeing better pictures and such. But when I mention as to when the seller will ship my item I get ignored.
The sooner he ships, the sooner I get to have my bought item and he can have the money. Can I get eBay involved if I don't see any progress later this week?

How many times have you messaged the seller? It sounds like you sent more than one message regard wanting to see better pictures and other things. Was this before you made the purchase?
Of course, eBay doesn't require sellers to respond to buyer messages. As has been mentioned, there is nothing you can do until the day after last date of the estimated delivery period. The following day you can file a INR dispute. However, I believe that owing to delays caused by the pandemic eBay is being somewhat generous to sellers when it comes to late deliveries.

Do you have a tracking number?
What does that tell you about the last location of the purchase?
EBay also sent you a window for delivery. What is the last day of that delivery?
From where is the purchase being shipped?
Keep in mind that all carriers are dealing with three to six times the workload of an average Christmas with a large number of employees off sick or staying home caring for family.
If it is an urgent purchase, buy in your own area in person and pay a little more for having it now.
If it is not urgent, you can have it cheap but not fast.

Have you actually paid him? The way I am reading what you wrote is that the sooner he ships the item, then you will pay him. Am I reading this right? Commit to buy before payment does not mean ready to ship. I don't ship items until they are paid for.
