Unable to combine orders in Bulk Shipping

This has now happened twice so here I am to ask about it.  Customer buys 2 items from me and pays separately for them despite my advice to use the shopping cart.  I used to be able to go to bulk shipping and the option to Combine was enabled.  Now it is greyed out.  i know from experience that ebay recently changed something and now will not allow you to enter the same tracking number for multiple items even if they are purchased same day from the same buyer going to the same address.  So that workaround will not work.

Is there a way around this?

who are you? you have no listings or feedback, you are not responding to any of the evidence submitted in a rational manner. Are you paid by ebay to defend them on these boards? maybe they should spend it instead on being honest and fixing these problems as they arise.

In bulk shipping you do not just uncheck the extra items. You have to remove them from bulk shipping. Select the items you want to remove and click remove. Adding the tracking number to the extra items works.

I've given you a way to fix this easily.

I'm not defending ebay, I'm giving you a way to fix a problem yet I'm the one being irrational.

Just so you know you're not crazy, I can't combine 2 items from same buyer in bulk shipping either.  It's been about a week now.  I have to remove those 2 items, then print one of the labels using the single label print feature.  Then, I copy tracking number and then use "add tracking number" to 2nd item from same buyer.  This HAS worked for me.  But, I also verified that both items were going to exact same address.  There does appear to be this new bug in the bulk shipping tool though.  I experienced it again yesterday morning while doing a bulk shipment, so, it's not fixed yet.

Happy to report that I was able to successfully combine orders this morning on the bulk shipping page.  Thanks eBay for fixing this little bug so quickly!

This happened to me last week, too. I ended up starting over and choosing the link on the upper right corner that says, "use classic view" or something to that effect. I also have to use classic view if my First Class item is at 16oz because the new bulk shipping tool will kick it out when you purchase the labels.

 

You'd think with all the money Ebay makes from us they could find adequate tech development.

You can combine shipping IF it is the same customer shipping to the same address.  However, sometimes a customer will make a purchase and then make a separate purchase using guest accounts  ... same customer with the same address, but it looks like two separate accounts made the purchase, and eBay will not let you merge together for combined shipping.  If this is the case, there is no way around this.

 

 

But, his is noted as happening in other threads and has personally happened to me, same buyer, same account using same address, same Paypal etc. and the new bulk shipping flags an error
