Anyone else still having problems with slow or lost PO deliveries ?
Had two first class packages lost, both shipped from our
local PO at the same time.
Should I only be using priority mail ?

We send first class daily with no issues.
Has enough time passed where you can file with USPS for a missing parcel?
Many parcels are not being scanned along the way for some reason - 1st class or Priority. When you take them to your post office, you are receiving an acceptance scan, correct?
Good luck. Hope this resolves itself soon.

I am currently having at least 1 per week delayed above the norm. I only ship 5-10 per week, all USPS 1st class with tracking. Had one last week to WA. state, 10 days to get there (5 days no tracking update, and currently a 6 day no update to Florida, but it just broke free this am, still 2 days to delivery.
In talking to my local PO it seems that Priority is getting the big push when certain sort centers are short staffed or overloaded. 1st class mail is not moving like it has in the past (pre-covid) ...but only at some states sort facilities. it is hit or miss now.
Sending priority can be expensive depending on the items you sell and might make sense for peace of mind if you are running into a lot of delays in your local area sort centers.
Just my 2 cents worth.

My last purchase took over 2 weeks to arrive from drop off (1st class), so keep that in mind.
So, not sure what the timeframe for your 2 packages is, but they may not be lost.

Sign up for email or text updates at USPS tracking site. This seems to get things moving. I also will copy and paste (removing my name) and send the info to my buyer as an eBay message. I have gotten nice comments back from buyers happy that I am proactive.
I am noticing that when I ship anything from here in Ohio, the east coast packages are delayed, especially if they go through Warrendale, PA. West coast packages are arriving in good time, even media mail. No problems shipping to the south either. Your results may vary.

Not all of them. Strangely it has usually been Priority shipments that have been giving me issues every once in a while. It'll get picked up Monday or Tuesday. And show label created until next Monday or Tuesday. So 2 or 3 days becomes ~7 days.
As long it gets there, I don't care that much. But can be frustrating. What really gets me is it will be one in the five or six that went out that day that showed they were Accepted. Could be an issue with the label I guess.

To avoid Buyer Concerns about Mail that is Slower than Usual to Arrive...I Let them Know
in Advance..after they Buy...that the Time it Takes for Package Arrival Depends on the USPS...and it **May Take Longer than Anticipated for Packages to Arrive***...Both First Class and Priority....That Helps Me Not
to Get Blamed Me for Slow Mail Delivery...or Lack of Tracking...

No problems.

I agree..
I don't sell volume so I can keep an eye on my tracking.
If it looks like it's running late, I message the buyer.: "I'm sorry it looks like the USPS is experiencing some delays in your shipment, I am keeping an eye on your tracking"
Just to put their mind at ease.
I know this may not be feasible for sellers that sell in high volume.

Yes and yes. Worse even this year than last year, after the start of virus-madness 😕
I mail 30-60 packages a week, between eBay and Etsy. Most of my packages are taking 7-10 days to arrive (very bad for live plants) and some buyers can't seem to understand that USPS problems are not my fault anyway. I'm also seeing a higher percentage of lost packages (used to be @ 1%) to now having one or two AWOL packages per week.
Also seeing more packages that have never been scanned in at ANY PO along the distribution cycle. There is zero tracking data, anywhere, until it just suddenly appears a week (or three) later 😕
I can't deal with USPS for much more. Trying to use more UPS options now, but that's much more inconvenient for me to use and more expensive to the buyer.

USPS will one day in the not too distant future be like the postal system in a Third World country.
I read years ago that the postal systems in many countries all over the world are a joke and not trusted at all by citizens, which means internet buying didn't catch on fully, unlike here, where we had a reliable system. The worse, though, our system gets, the more frustrating it will be for buyers and sellers alike, portending a return to the flea market.

First Class has been given a backseat to Priority and is no longer expected to arrive in a couple days. My local PO has hiring signs all over the place. I think they are understaffed.

I see the same delays with Priority.

Yes. I have almost 100 orders from late May/early June that are past their estimated delivery date and new INR's daily. I contacted eBay on Facebook & Twitter and they said there is a "new" shipping policy.

Here’s the latest update:
It appears there may still be hope for my two missing packages. Although it has been 16 days since I dropped them off at the local PO, eBay updated tracking information today. It appears the packages are about 30 miles from the PO I originally shipped them from, now sitting in another postal facility.
