i know this question has been asked many times, but i am a bit confused after discussing this with ebay support.
If the tracking has been stuck “in transit” and it has been 2 weeks since the ship date , is it true that i can offer the buyer to open a Item not received case, approve it and he should be able to get a refund through ebay’s MBG program?
If this is the case, what if the package eventually arrives? (As shown in the tracking). Do i contact ebay so that the buyer either refunds the refund, or returns the item?
The other question i had was on the idea of getting shipcover insurance. I do have shipping insurance, so i will be covered if the package is lost. I am confused because the ebay support rep said i will get to keep the payment from the buyer regardless of having shipping insurance or not. Can someone confirm what happens as the seller (me) in this case?
If this is true, what is the point of ever getting shipping insurance? Is it just for goods that arrive damaged and only that?

i do have shipcover insurance but I don’t know if they will cover anything if pkg ends up showing delivered in tracking at the end of all this.

Thank you. I filled a missing pkg case 2 days back and hoping it breezes the bottleneck. It’s in PA and just needs to make it to DE. Almost there, shipped from the west coast....

I agree. As a seller I always ship out next day. It’s very easy if the USPS does the pickups at the house. Thanks for your comment.

Yeah, have seen major delays out of the Philly Hub, so if that is where it is stuck....
I have an incoming 'stuck' in Detroit and probably next week will contact the silent seller and see what kind of response I get. No reply and I'll file an INR since it has been 10-days and no movement.

The missing pkg case I filed must have jolted it free out of the PA hub death trap. Its on its way to DE destination and ETA is 1/25.

I bought a item and hve been tracking through ebay n usps item says its still in transit in ebay app but says it's been delivered to another address. Tried to file a claim with ebay but ebay says its not due to be delivered till Jan 4th so I hve to wait till then before I can file a claim. But yes having same issue. I use ebay alot n this is only my second issue ever.
