USPS mailman doesn’t scan packages when picked up, which is causing package losses and late shipment defects! This has been an ongoing issue—I’ve already spoken to the post office supervisor twice and even filed a complaint online, but nothing has changed. This lack of scanning is causing serious problems!

We used to have a professional mailman who was always on time and scanned everything—never had any issues. But since he was transferred to a different route, we've been getting different mail carriers, and that's when the problems started. I even spoke to one of them, and he was nice, said he’d scan the packages, and he did for a while. But then, the issue returned.
I don’t ship a large volume, just a few packages, but when they don’t scan them at pickup, they don’t show up in tracking until they get scanned somewhere along the way. Because of this, some of my packages have been lost, and I’ve had to ship replacements.

Not everyone has easy access to a post office, especially those living in rural areas or far from shipping centers. Sometimes, scheduling a pickup or waiting for better weather is the only option. Convenience isn’t the same for everyone!

Mine too. We used to have a professional USPS mailman who was always on time and scanned everything—never had any issues. It looks like they’ve now assigned one guy to our route permanently, so hopefully, he’ll get better at it over time.

Carriers are humans. P them off and they will retaliate in ways you cannot prove. Complain about them is a sure way to get them to hate you. I've always given a Xmas Card with $100 Visa, candy bars or snacks on pick ups.
I've talked to carriers and when they don't like you, they can make up things to make your life miserable- so be nice (the neighbor's dog barks so they blame the 'dog' on you and leave your package on the curb or refuse pickup. Their boss will back them up on the 'dog' thing.

Being a mail carrier isn’t an easy job, especially in the winter here in WV, so I get that. The thing is that they don’t show up in tracking until they get scanned somewhere along the way. Because of this, some of my packages have been lost, and I’ve had to ship replacements. Sometimes, it even results in late shipping defects. That’s why I care about the scanning—otherwise, I wouldn’t mind as long as the package reaches its destination and gets scanned eventually.

I can't afford to give a $100 Visa to my mailman, but I had a great relationship with my previous carrier and am working on building the same with the new one. That said, I can assure you that we don’t have that kind of issue in our town.
