Just a friendly note to sellers.
The Detroit USPS distribution hub appears to already be having issues.
I am in Ohio. USPS closed the Toledo hub closest to me years ago so all of my shipped items land at the Detroit hub for distribution. (Even those going to Ohio residents).
Two items shipped from a different account have been sitting in Detroit since last Thursday.
One item I purchased Nov. 15 from a seller in NY went to NJ and landed in Detroit Nov. 17. eBay estimated delivery date was Saturday, Nov 18. Tracking shows it supposedly left Detroit Nov. 17 and hasn't been seen since.
I'm not too concerned about delivery yet.
But the seller may have already received a defect for late delivery.

Not if they shipped within their handling time.
Late Shipment Rate:
"If you ship on time and upload validated tracking or your buyers tell us the shipment was on time when they leave feedback, you're all set."
I've seen similar reports about the Detroit area. Thanks for the heads up.

I too have had problems shipping through Detroit. Fortunately, I have few shipments which pass through Detroit.
No buyer complaints however.

The Detroit USPS Distribution Center is one of the biggest black holes in the USPS system, and has been for quite some time. It's where mail to the midwest goes to die.

For me, it's locations in Missouri.
My selling ID made a couple of purchases with the $25 eBay gift certificate that was part of the swag from the eBay Open.
I have received one of those purchases, but the other was supposed to have been delivered on Friday, Nov. 17, three days ago. I hope to receive it on Nov. 22, five days after its expected delivery date.
Its tracking shows:
Nov. 14 -- item in possession of the USPS.
Nov. 15 -- In Transit to Next Facility, arriving on time, St. Louis, MO Distribution Center.
Nov. 16 -- In Transit to Next Facility.
Nov. 17, midnight -- In Transit to Next Facility.
Nov. 17, 6:54 pm -- Processed through Kansas City, MO Distribution Center.
Nov. 19, 7:29 a.m. -- Departed Kansas City, MO Distribution Center.
Then it took about an hour to drive from KC, MO to KC, KS:
Nov. 19, 8:37 a.m. -- Arrived Kansas City, KS Logistics Center.
8:49 a.m. -- Departed Kansas City, KS Logistics Center.
My purchase sat in a room or a truck between four and five days somewhere between St. Louis, Missouri, and Kansas City, Missouri.
Last time I checked, my purchase was scanned at a USPS location in Riverside, California. I'm in San Diego, California.
I seriously doubt I will receive the item even tomorrow, Nov. 21.
My selling ID's listings always ask potential buyers to be patient with USPS delivery times.
I am now trying to follow my own advice!
