I am an occasional buyer. I just received an item I bought on ebay. It was shipped out of Dover, MA the morning of 10/23 via USPS. The destination was Portland Maine, 110 miles Northwest. USPS shipped the item to one of their distributions centers IN NEW JERSEY. It was then shipped to a distribution center in Springfield MA and then Shrewsbury MA which is 22 miles from Dover. It took 4 days for this process. It was then shipped to the Southern Maine distribution center (South Portland) where it took a 1 and 1/2 days to sent it to Portland. If you are shipping via USPS it might pay to look at alternatives. If you have any way to give feedback to the postal service, they need to get their act together.

Many distribution centers have closed due to Covid, pkgs are often rerouted now.

USPS uses some odd routes, but what you described sounds more like the package got put in the wrong bin and was mis-routed. Sounds like it course-corrected fairly quickly, though.

USPS has reported they will be slowing mail down.
Not much a seller can do about USPS.
Im sure they dont care about feedback. The government does not require them to care about feedback to get money.
What they could use is more workers and truck drivers.
PO by me has been looking for workers for over a year. People dont want to work too many freebees and government $$ being sent.
Best thing I can offer about shipments at this time... order early it is going to get worse with all carriers.
