Hello everyone,
I sold several items this past week. I dropped off three packages to USPS on Wednesday and the tracking has yet to update. However, I dropped off another package yesterday to the same post office, and the tracking has updated and is marked "in transit."
I went to the post office to inquire about this. The postal worker told me that at times, it is sent straight to the sorting facility. She tried looking it up but could not locate it. Honestly, I felt like she had no idea where the packages were and were giving me trained responses.
I am quite nervous because USPS lost one of my packages last month.
Is it normal for an item to be "in transit" with eBay updates still showing, "PRE-SHIPMENT INFO SENT. USPS AWAITS ITEM?" Has this happened to anyone else?
Any advise and insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Best,
David

Suggest you also stand in line at your local PO and have the counter person scan the package(s) in - aka "acceptance scan" Also get a receipt.

On you current issue be patient a few more days. I and others have had situations where there were no scans until the date of delivery. USPS does not consider anything lost for about 2 weeks.

Yeah, the postal worker told me the same thing.
Thank you so much for the reassurance.
I'll wait and see!

Where are you finding sold listings with tracking numbers? FINALLY found listings but not showing tracking.

Our location has a self service kiosk. When given options select "other" then scan. Toward the bottom a slot blue light will appear and scans can be made quickly.

In my experience, USPS always tries to deliver as fast as possible. However, having the same issue in my case I tried to track them through other apps instead of USPS official site.
