USPS Parcel Select Ground, I'm A Bit Confused

I apologize if this is an old topic, I'm just now running into issues with this.

I have a 15 pound box to ship - the auction will close today. I chose USPS Parcel Select Ground. I had to ask a question somewhat related to this sale and someone said, "Oh by the way, ebay doesn't offer Ground shipping".

WHAT?! I've been using Ground for years. Is this true? Is USPS Ground not available anymore? And if so why is it still on the chart for postage options? I just NOW listed an item and USPS Ground is right there on my ebay postage list. I have a number of items listed USPS Ground.

When this auction closes and I go to print a label tomorrow, what do I do?

FYI, UPS isn't an option. They are too far from where I live.

Thanks for your help guys!

Dimensional weight  is also applied to Parcel Select and Retail Ground.

According to eBay staff, Parcel Select is currently available for Top Rated Sellers but is being phased out for other sellers.  Their reasoning behind this is inscrutable.

You are not the only one experiencing issues with this change..  I signed up for Shipping Pirate which is free... their quote for the 1st pkg usps  item was exactly the same as what ebay was asking...  I didn't check PayPal but I ran into problems with PayPal verified buyers  challenging their accounts authorizations months later & ebay put me into managed selling 4which I am grateful,  thankfully ebay tossed each claim from PayPal as the item's were delivered with tracking and accepted @ the address.

A 15 lb. package to zone 8 is $47.62 priority, only $24.75 parcel select, cheaper then UPS also, UPS is $26.20

Perfume is not allowed in the international Mail because that's air transportation. You can ship it in the domestic mail no problem by surface mail properly packaged for class 3 hazardous/flammable material. You need to write surface mail only on the address side of the package and  write ORM-D community commodity  or stick an ORM-D sticker on it.

They have yet to exorcise the Former Guy's idiot, so who knows what might happen before reason is restored.

"Their reasoning behind this is inscrutable." (eliminating Parcel Select option)  Nope, it's as plain as your nose!  The higher the shipping charge, the higher Final Value Fee that fleabay pockets!

That would make sense if they were eliminating it for all sellers.  But keeping it for TRS doesn't fit your theory.

Not to worry.  eBay still offers USPS Parcel Select.  It's all the way at the bottom of the shipping options.  You can also use Pirateship to purchase shipping labels as it does integrate with eBay.

That is not actually true.   It depends on where that package is going to be shipped.  For example, with eBay's commercial rates a 4 pound package to zone 7 is $20.77, and Parcel Select is $13.17.  However you do have to remember that the Parcel select prices don't have any commercial discounts so you need to add the final value fees back in to your shipping charge.
