I am taking a heavy item to my buyer tomorrow, the item is a lighting desk and is in a secure case for safety, as it's over 75kg and with insurance, it would be well over £100 to ship. It's only 56miles away in the car so we have arranged for me to deliver the item tomorrow. So how can the buyer confirm he has the item and all is good because this arrangement was also about him being home as it's quite valuable it's a lighting desk. As I'm new on eBay I never knew about the QR code option but it's a shame that is not available as far as I know any help regarding what I or the buyer must do in regards to confirming the sale to eBay, maybe ID or proof of sale or an email , any help glady received ty alx newbie lol 😆

If you didn't offer local pickup from the beginning you did not receive a QR code or 6 digit code. If you did not receive a QR code, DO NOT use local pickup.
eBay suggests getting a signed copy of the order form if neither of these are possible but since you did not specify local pickup from the beginning this is a moot point since delivery with tracking is expected.
Seeing your selling history, you are setting yourself up for a rude awakening.
Solution: I would cancel the order, refund the buyer, explain what happened and if they are still interested, relist with local pickup and accept CASH upon consummation.

Seems like, if it's only 56 miles away, the buyer could come to you and pick it up.
