So when I ship something heavy or big Parcel Select I like to insure it. I also like to add additional insurance to Priority Mail shipments over $100. Today I printed my daily labels and added insurance to a Parcel shipment with no issues, but when I went to add additional USPS insurance o two Priority shipments the only option I was given is ShipCover. This has never happened before. I tried clicking off and back on. I tried everything, but it was the only option. I don't use ShipCover because I've never had an issue with USPS insurance and typically ShipCover is more expensive.
Anyone know what's going on?

It's been like that for a year since the new label flow rolled out, and eBay doesn't seem to be interested in fixing that oversight. There was some back and forth with eBay on that but looks like nothing resulted from the outcry.
Use the classic label flow when you need to add more USPS insurance (or print FedEx labels if the eBay FedEx label orientation is wrong, or a Puerto Rico order has PR as the country and label won't fly, etc)
If you no longer have the link at the top right of the new label flow pages to switch back to the classic flow (most do not)
To manually redirect a new label flow page to the classic label flow:
While on the new label flow page for that item, change the URL from something like https://gslblui.ebay.com/gslblui/new_label?transId=0123456789012&itemId=987654321098
to https://gslblui.ebay.com/gslblui/back_to_classic?transId=0123456789012&itemId=987654321098
(just change "new_label" to "back_to_classic" in the URL and load that page)

The thing is I've been using the new label flow for months and this is the first time this has happened.

USPS Insurance will not show up as an option for a Priority Mail item if the item's sales value is under $50 (for non TRS Sellers) or $100 (for TRS Sellers) ... since, of course, USPS insurance is already included for the full claim value.
USPS Insurance will be an option for items over the included insurance amount for Priority Mail or for First Class packages.
eBay finally fixed it ...

I was corrected about it still being an issue by orangehound. (and my testing method was flawed 🙂
See my open question about this though: Were the actual sale prices for the items over the $100 default USPS Priority insurance amount, or were you trying to add in postage costs or extra and over-insuring?
(was it the Pretty Kitty Display and the Dunlop Tires Sign? Both of those were over $100)

I just had the same problem for the first time.
One day I could add USPS insurance for a priority mail package and the next day I couldn't.
It would only allow me to add shipcover and USPS was not an option in the drop down box. If I changed the package to parcel select
it would show shipcover or USPS for insurance. If I added the USPS insurance to that then chose Priority mail it would disappear and only allow the shipcover again. Why can't I add USPS insurance now to a priority mail package with Ebay shipping like I used to?

Was the item sold for more than $100?

It was less than $100. The day before I added USPS insurance for a $200. item. I've never had a problem doing this for items of any price over $50.

You're a Top Rated Seller, so Priority Mail labels purchased through eBay automatically include $100 of insurance. You'd only be offered USPS insurance for items that sold for more than $100.
