Shipped a Saxophone USPS Priority Mail International, from Roanoke IN going to England, on Dec 2nd. Roanoke mail goes to Fort Wayne, then to Indy, internationals from Indy to Chicago. Got an email notification today, Dec 12th, package just arrived at the Indy Hub. Two hour drive by car for me to Indy. Sorry service.

We have heard Indy has been stacked up for awhile.
Thinking I may have heard something about Chicago as well.
Anybody else?

Almost all of my packages since just before Thanksgiving have been very late. Most things take at least ten days. I'm in central Indiana. Unfortunately that included hatching eggs. None are candling as viable. Indianapolis definitely has serious issues. I spoke with an optometrist yesterday, and she said that everything from Fedex and USPS in Indiana is at least seven days later than it should be, and tracking shows items bouncing around a lot or sitting at hubs in Indy for over four or five days without moving or with just "in transit" status lines that aren't true. If you're a seller who has shipped to Indy or a seller in Indiana, please look into shipments and keep communication going with your customers, because it's actually very upsetting. I'm at a loss about my eggs though. Hatch day is only a few days away, and I'm still treating the eggs as if they're all going to hatch, but I don't think there's any chance to get even a single chick.

I'm in Ft Wayne. I had a package going to Fl. It has been in the "in Transit arriving late" for 9 days. Indy was the last scan. I went to the PO and they were no help. The customer wanted their money back. I don't blame them. Refunded and put a recall on my package. It's a $100 package so the $17.50 charge to get it back is worth it. Now hopefully it'll get back to me. If not and the PO loses my package I have insurance. Merry Christmas!

Im just outside Indianapolis. Packages are taking forever to get out or in from here.
Not much we can do about the PO.
All my shipments from Thanksgiving on are arriving late.
I had a package from Walmart was supposed to be here on Tuesday. I was told will be delivered by the PO Tuesday between 6pm and 10pm...
Showed up Friday and stacked on the mailbox not delivered to the porch as Walmart stated it would be.
What can we as sellers do? .... not much.
If you want you can let your buyer know and know that you are watching the item...

Yeah, my packages through Indianapolis are taking forever. On average, once scanned at Indianapolis, they are sitting for 5-7 days before moving.
Seeing significant delays in a handful of areas, but Indy has had the biggest impact for me since Thanksgiving.
Here's one of many I've been keeping an eye on.
Been trying to file package inquiries with USPS on items sitting too long before buyers file too many non-receipt claims.

While checking shipping progress, found that I had a EIS, USPS GA skate though Indy on the 5th. Must be livin' right or just plain lucky... Most likely luck.... It is a $149 item going to Lithuania. If I had thought about it going through Indy, I might have used UPS.

It would be insanity (and highly improbable) for every package to get stuck @lakefor94 . I'd say maybe 3-4 out of every 10 are moving through at a normal rate and the rest sit for a while. For me, at least.
We also know USPS sorting centers do not operate on a "first in, first out" method.
It's more like, "last in, first out and the backlog we'll get to it when we get to it."

Shipped out to a customer in Michigan from Georgia on Dec. 6th. Moving through the system as expected until it hit INDIANAPOLIS. 2 days showing "in transit to next facility". Now the tracking will not update. The USPS gets worse every year and to add a little salt in the wound, they upped their ground prices just for the holidays. Pathetic!

There was an article in yesterday's Boston Globe about backed up mail in facilities in Boston. They found mail that had been hidden/lost/misplaced since August.

Kansas City is also backed. It took 8 days to go 60 miles, now two are sitting in Indianapolis.

For sure, Indianapolis is a problem. Ebay item shipped on 11/25, from North Vernon, IN. Stuck in Indianapolis for two weeks, tracking stops 11/29. It is now 12/13.
I shipped a non-ebay item, on 11/22, to a Ft. Wayne IN address. Finally delivered on 12/6. Stuck in Indianapolis for most of that time.
And they (USPS) has the audacity to spend $$$ on TV advertising, which could be spent on manpower, trucks, or whatever needs to be done to perform the service they are paid for.
Just my .02

Everything I have shipped since Monday 12-9 from Avon is still showing in Indianapolis.
Not 1 package has moved USPS is just updating the tracking that it will be late.
Guess I get to start messaging buyers ...

Mines been "in Transit arriving late" since the 4th. It has Indy as the last entry other than the arriving late. I put a recall on it and got a reply this morning saying that the PO can not retrieve my package and it will get delivered to the original address. So, does that mean they can't find my package? Not sure how this will play out. Also, does the $100 ins that comes with the shipping cover lost packages? I guess I'll find out at some point. The customer has already been refunded.

I am in the same boat. My package reached Indy Distribution Center on January 28th and still sitting there as of today, February 7... it contains cancer medicine for my husband and so it is important. I sent a text message to Jesse Watters of Fox News to see if his staff could investigate and put it in the national news... His texting number is 929-286-7479. Who knows... he may just have too much on his plate, but we need some help here!
